we first met vlad via myspace. he had a post for $200 mixtape hosting so i figured it might be a good look for my artist. we are a label based in london, but we have artists in the states. so we emailed him about his posting for $200, he then said it was $300- so we went back and forth then finally we got 5 horrible drops and it took dude a long time to get it done.

when i heard the "mixtape" he did, i started talking to other people in the industry and i kept getting the same response. i started to realize dude is a joke. everyone had the same things to say: he books no gigs, talks too much, "uses myspace as a way to meet girls and scam new artists" as i was told by another big new york radio dj.

as u can imagine, we in london have never heard of him, but our artist in ny said he had heard of him from a mixtape he did about 3 years ago with another dj.

we are writing because dj vlad is not what you may think. people in the industry think he's a joke and if you are a new artist- do not have him do your mixtape because for $200 anyone can do it. it's not a good look at all. Especially cats in NY, they don;t respect him. think about it for a second; this "dj" is doing any and everyones mixtape for $200 and wanting to book a show for $800 with airfare included. does that sound right to you?

keep your money. dude is a waste of time. horrible business man and not a real dj. has anyone ever seen him spin? don't think so.

we will not be using him along with everyone one else in ny. he washed up, old and shady.

be careful y;'all.

this is someone who obviously can't make it in the music industry and feels the need to blame other people for their failures

First of all, I'm not sure who this is. As you can see, they haven't even identified what their 'label' is called. In an effort to help unsigned artists, we host their mixtapes for only $200. Most other DJ's charge around $1000, but unsigned artists don't usually have that kind of budget, so we set the price to low to help them out. Previous mixtapes that we've hosted for artists like Sin Sizzerb have gotten them features in XXL, writeups on mtv and all hip-hop, etc. This is obviously someone who did not go very far with their project, and is looking to blame other people for their failures. The music industry is a tough place, and less then 1% of people go anywhere at all. There is no 'magic pill' in this industry, and a mixtape hosted by Jay-Z doesn't guarantee any success. A lot of people of people get frustrated with this fact and feel a need to lash out emotionally - "he uses myspace to get girls" haha In terms of my 'reputation', here is a partial list of my accomplishments: - Rolling Stone number 3 hip-hop album of all time - vibe mixtape series of the year - 2 justos mixtape awards - national tv show on russell simmons' h2o channel - shows all over the world - europe, asia, australia, middle east, all over the US
