I purchased a Ford TW5 tractor from Vance Thomas, paid in full on Feb 10,2016 and have not recieved my tractor. After several weeks of promising to get the tractor delivered Vance decided he would deliver the tractor himself. After a week of empty promises and one excuse after another and going so far as to say he was on the way, he conviently had truck trouble in GA. When I asked him where in GA he was stranded he never returned another text and blocked my number. I had a trucking company call to get the location of the tractor so it could be picked up and he told them he would call them back and when he didn't call them back they tried him and he had blocked there number also. Bottom line is this guy is a scam artist, stay away!!!!!

OK first of all lets not lose sight of the fact that Vance clearly avoided the comments in regard to having truck trouble in GA while supposedly delivering my tractor, but we'll have more on that later and he also never stated as to why he blocked the trucking company from calling when they called to get the location of the tractor so it could be picked up. Jason called him and asked what the location was of the tractor and Vance said he would call him back, after a while Jason tried calling Vance and his number was blocked. I can have Jason verify this. Did I accuse him of being a scam artist on multiple occasions? You d**n right I did! And I still believe he is a scam artist/crook who will never own up to his actions even when he's clearly caught.

Lets start at the beginning so everyone knows the entire situation. Vance claims I agreed to purchase the tractor in "early" Dec, but the last time I checked Dec 28, 2015 is anything but early Dec. On Dec 24, 2015 I was on FASTLINE looking at used tractors when I seen a TW5 listed that caught my eye so I called the company that had it listed which was EQUIPSALES and spoke with a individual that informed me that the tractor was available and to call back on Mon after Christmas. On Mon Dec 28, 2015 I called EQUIPSALES and they referred me to Vance since it was his listing. I called Vance and right away he said he would sell me the tractor himself and cut his employer out to save me some money and I was happy to save some money (big mistake on my part). I was definitely leery of the situation and it ended up being anything but a clean transaction. We agreed on a price of $5000.00. I clearly stated to him that I DID NOT HAVE ALL THE MONEY!!! I said I could send $500.00 down and would send the rest when I could and assured him that he the tractor as collateral so he was covered.

For the next month I kept Vance informed as to how things were progressing with my ability to obtain funds. On Feb 8, 2016 I informed Vance that I had wired him the remaining balance and I would be getting a truck arranged to pick up the tractor. After the company I had lined up apparently wouldn't supposedly call him back he promised me that he could get the tractor put on a load of equipment coming out of a auction in Florida for a good price. On Feb 15, 2016 I got a meesage from Vance stating that he had a trucking company lined up to haul my tractor. On Feb 16, 2016 I checked on the status of the trucking and he said everything was good to go and said he would call tomorrow. After not hearing anything, I sent him a message on Feb 26, 2016 and asked again the status of shipping the tractor and said he would have a pick up time on Mon. On Mar 1, 2016 I again asked about trucking and it would leave Fri and arrive Mon and the trucking company would call me tomorrow.

For the next 2 weeks I sent multiple messages with continued smoke and mirrors crap. Finally on Mar 16, 2016 after an all day affair to get on the road he claimed to be on the way. On Mar 17, 2016 I messaged him to see what time he would be delivering the tractor to my location and he stated he was in GA with a 2016 Dodge with the tranny out. Said he would be on the road in the morning. On Mar 18,2016 he stated wasn't going to be on the road until later and rented a car and sent the family home and once he got going he was driving straight to me, so I messaged him asking where he was in GA so I had an idea how long it would take him to get to me once he was on the road. I never heard from him after that and he blocked my number.

On Mon Mar 21, 2016 I had enough and called a trucking company to get the tractor, and that's when he blocked their number also at this point I knew I had been had and started making calls to find out anything I could about this guy. By the grace of God I was able to track down the owner of the tractor on Mar 23, 2016.  I spoke with David and explained the entire situation to him. I explained the I had a paid invoice with the serial number of a tractor that Vance Thomas had sold for him and collected the money for and was now not delivering as promised. David was not happy to be in the middle of a situation that could be a burden to his business. He told me that he still had the tractor and that it hadn't moved in over a year. (This is proof that Vance NEVER had my travtor loaded and on the way to WI)

David said he would call Vance and find out what was going on. David called me back and said Vance had overextended himself and spent the money and told Vance if he would come up with at least $1000.00 he would send me the tractor and work with him to get the rest later. David called me a week later and said Vance paid $2000.00 and he would get the tractor running and air up the tire and send the tractor. I owe David immensely for being a standup guy!!

Had I not been able to track down the owner of the tractor I'm 100% convinced Vance would have scammed me and this would've ended a lot differently. Even after being caught he still will not man up and take responsibility for his actions which shows what kind of person he really is. After David cleaned up his mess and got me my tractor now Vance wants to act like nothing happened........
