A recent trip to the Wagon Wheel Flea Market in Pinellas Park Florida has infuriated me. I walked up to the section where they normally house dogs (keep in mind, this Flea Market is NOT air conditioned. How would you like to sit in a hot cage all day while creepy old men gawk at you?)
So this trip was different. This time, there were no dogs. But there was a chicken. First of all, who would want to buy a pet chicken. Knowing how evil, cruel and stupid people can be, just imagine what they would do to that animal. The chicken was in the sweltering hot cage with no water - just a tiny bit of filthy liquid - like substance that probably used to be water at one time, and certainly not drinkable. I looked around and there was no one there watching or tending to the chicken. I snapped a picture of two as proof of this incident. To my left there was a cage with a few ferrets who looked like they were suffering from heat exhaustion.
If the Wagon Wheel Flea Market is allowing this neglectful housing of animals, then they are just as wrong as the lowlife who put that chicken in that cage with no food or clean water. Someone should throw that piece of trash in a cage in a hot building in mid-summer and see how he or she likes it. But what goes around comes around. So next time you're in Pinellas Park, be sure to stop by the Wagon Wheel Flea Market, where animal neglect is apparently perfectly acceptable.
