Took my car today Sunday Oct 2 2011 to have two tires we bought from the same place the night before put on the wheels and Balance and Rotated. Instead of walking around the store as I have done in the past and never called over loud speaker to come pick up my car I stood around either inside the store to watch through the glass or out in the walk way where they work on the car. .At this point 2 guys were working on our car and another car. We waited a good 1/2 hour and finally see the car being backed out I figured good bout time its finished. Not finished as the car comes back into the shop and they then tighten up the lug nuts.

I have never in mylife seen any walmart take a car out and then bring back inside to tighten the lug nuts. Wellafter another 15 or so mins.out car is back out side we then notice the center cap is missing so we go back in to see what happened and where it is. they go outback to see if they can find us one ( so what do they have a box of lost and found ?) Needless to say they never found it I then want to talk to a manager who comes out and informs me they will look at the camera tape and see if anything happened to it or if it was missing before it came in . I then ask well can I look at this tape too and she says no sorry only we can.

I then say ok then you will notice how they forgot to tighten my lug nuts and then brought the car back into the shop to do so she at first had a surprised look on her face and said ohhhh yea they do that 3 guys actually check the lug nuts and its brought outside to do a figure eight then brought back inside and another guy will check them , then another so she list 3 guys doing this , I was wondering why then only 2 guys out in the shop where is the third guy ??...watching over the lost and found box of centercaps? o.0 we then left the store when to make sure the lug nuts were actually tight and noticed one of the plastic lug nut covers was also broke. All I know is I will never ever ever shop at WalMart again and I am pretty sure even if they did brake the part They will never ever admit to it. and Out of all the times I got tires there I have never ever seen then take my car in and out and in the shop before!!

it's store policy to take your care out and figure 8 it and do 3 quality checks on it and the way this works on the computer... and if you noticed the employee's who are working on your car you will see them poking at a touch screen filling in whats finished on the car and checking at what needs done on the car. 

when they hit complete on the tires a screen will pop up asking for Quality Check. this is where an assosiate checks to insure all lugs are tight on the car and only the lugs that where worked on you may even hear them yell out i need a 2 tire QC or a 4 tire QC or 3 or 1 whatever it may be. once the associate has completed the check they then scan there badge or manually punch in there social to confirm they did it the screen will then go away.

when they hit complete the 2nd time another box will pop up saying to complete 2nd Quality Check the same person CANNOT complete this the computer wont allow the same assosiates ID the 2nd time so they yell out i need a QC and another associate will complete it and figure 8 the car as well.

when they hit complete the 3rd time a box will appear once again and for the final time asking for 3rd Quality Check only 2 assosiates are required to do 3 quality checks the computer wont allow the same assosiate to complete it in a row but the associate who completed the 1st can then complete the 3rd afterwards your vehicle is complete and parked or moved right outside the bay.

there does not need to be 3 associates working on your tire job to complete it the manager you grabbed obviously was not from that department and didn't truly understand how it works. to add your vehicle is by store policy always taken for a figure 8 when getting tires you either missed it before or they simply where not following policy before more likely you missed it it doesn't take but a few seconds to do so most people don't ever see it.

Walmart's TLE computers are set up to not only show what needs done but also records who did what on your car it tracks the associates every time something is complete that assosiate signs out on it and no one else because if it was not done right that associate is to blame and no one else is going to want to sign out for something another associate did if there smart it covers them from taken blame and the computer wont finish the car until everything is signed out and if everything is not signed out nothing will print inside until it's printed inside they know that car is not complete. nothing can be cancelled out without a manager or changed there's no getting around it everything must be signed out on by someone and those someones are the ones saying YES i did it i am responsible if something is wrong so with that you can see no one is at liberty to screw you over without getting screwed themself
