I have no problem with people who work in retail. What I am annoyed about is this child. Obviously the OP's store either prastices in Child labor, or the OP lied and said she was old enough to work when she applied for the job. The fact that she cries about unfairness just shows how childish she is. I would not be surprised if she was written up and broke policy before. If this person is an adult which I doubt. ( I doubt this person is anywhere over the age of nine with her attitude. Then it is her parents I blame for not teaching her that there are consequences to her actions. She clearly shows lack of maturity by complaining about unfairness.

Yeah most of your response is true, however maybe you should acquiant yourself with Wal-Mart's terminology before you spout off about somebody's intelligence (or lack thereof).
A D-Day is a common term for "Decision-making Day," wherein, an employee has had 3 write-ups, and receives a paid day off to "make the decision if they would like to stay at Wal-Mart or not" and then write a paragraph explaining why they want to keep their job. This D-Day remains in effect for 1 year, and any slip-ups in that time and you will be automatically terminated. It's a common term thrown around Wal-Mart. though I'm sure instead of an apology for speaking about things you don't know, you will simply comment on my lack of intelligence for working at Wal-Mart also, I suppose I should finish the fifth grade before speaking to someone like you, of such high standing and integrity? Hmm..

You need to go back to school before you apply for a full time job. You need to finish the fifth grade first. This whole whining about favortism, and unfairness makes you sound like a eight year old. That and the whole I will not nark out my friends. You obviously think very highly of yourself. Perhaps the real reason you were terminated was because you boasted about your work and put down other employees and bossed them around. Obviously you were not fit for the assistant manager position as you thought you were. Also get your history straight kid. D Day is known as a miltary term for when you plan an attack. They did not plan an attack on your friend. They simply fired him. Get your facts straight kiddo by going back to school. The only way you can do this is to go back to the fifth grade as I have suggested. This whole letter sounds like a whinny cry from a nine year old that got punished for disobeying the rules and thinking his/her punishment was unfair.

California is an "at will" employment state, meaning that you can be terminated for any or no reason (subject to a few exceptions which do not seem to apply here). From what I gather, understocking is a violation of company policy. If you know it's happening and don't report it, why shouldn't they take action against you? It doesn't really matter what happened to other employees, this is about you. They are not required to treat everyone exactly the same. I think you're expecting the grade school version of "fair" to apply here. That is not the standard in real life employment situations.
