I got suckered in and purchased what I thought was the best car coverage I could get . I had a car problem took my car to a national automotive chain for service. The parts that failed were covered so I thought this was going to be a no brainer. Then the call came the service advisor told me you are not going to believe this, after waiting 2 days for an approval Wanted Auto Protect said you can get the parts from Parts Geek and we will pay $95 an hour for service. The bill was $700 and W.A.P. offered to pay about $400 minus the $50 deductable. The shop obviously refused to accept that amount and was told by W.A.P tell the customer he has to pay the difference. This is far from what you are told in their great lookin brochure and on their website. When the service advisor asked the W.A.P. representative for the name of a shop who would be willing to do the repair he was told they do not recomend any shop. Who would work on your car , make no profit on the parts and get substandard labor to boot. Luckly I had just purchased the policy and I hit a pothole and damaged a part early in the policy life. I was fortunate enough to pay in full on a credit card which I was able to request a full refund for misrepresenting their services. My bank was awesome in assisting me get my money back. Wanted Auto Protect is a scam don't get suckered in and find out 6 months later that they don't pay like legit insurance companys do. You will loose your money. These businesses need to be regulated by the state insurance boards. I will certainly do my homework before I take on another extended warranty or used car contract

I have spent a lot of time comparing aftermarket contracts and out of 5 different companies all would have paid for this repair minus a deductable and level of coverage. I purchased the best at least at the time I did. Your company never at any time stated that they would tell a vender where to buy parts and offer $95 an hour. If you have the coverage the claim is paid in full by the warranty company minus the deductable. Thats what your advertising said there were no astericks or sublines next to that promise. If this problem had not occured when it did and a moth later the problem was found I would have lost money on your warranty. The reason I say that vehicle extended warrant or mechanical break down coverage should be regulated by a government agency is because these companies take your hard earned money and are allowed to twist the truth into letting you belive that you will have peace of mind if anything that they supposedly cover will be taken care of. There are some warranty companies that do give you some peace of mind but they are far and few. There needs to be TRUTH IN COVERAGE laws that hold these places accountable. Most companies get off the hook by having you sign a contract that needs to be reviewed by a lawyer and a certified mechanic. This should not be everything should be in plain english and should be a standard form showing exactly what is being covered at what level or simplified so that if steering is being covered it should include a list of every steering component with a yes or no check next to it so you know exactly what is covered and what is not. This company offers a substandard payment plan to the vendors who work on your car. You will have to pay more out of pocket than you think. That's not peace of mind. Shame on you for trying to take my hard earned money and others like me who were not as fortunate. Sell a quality product and peole will buy it. Decieve them and you will end up here trying to make excuses.

In accordance with our policy agreement, this repair could have been completely denied. Instead of denying the repair, we had decided to authorize more than half of the repair in order to assist the customer as much as we could.

We try to work with all of our customers to the best of our ability, but unfortunately, we can not satisfy each and every time.

We are very sorry for any inconveniences!
