For the Benefit of potential Auto Warranty Consumors

Caveat emptor is Latin for "Let the buyer beware"...

As you can see from the following, I have it in writing from a company representative; and further, I believe the law should do something!!

"I certainly do understand your concern and as promised here is the information of the company you were looking into:

Warranty America, LLC

5695 Yukon Street

Arvada, CO 80002

Phone: (800)531 1925

Warrantyamerica.net

And they are directly insured by an A Rated Insurance Company

First Commercial transportation and Property insurance Company

13499 Biscayne Boulevard

Tower Suite 4, North Miami, FL 33181"

For the benefit of Ripoff Report readers, A.M. Best is the most recognized insurance rating company and they say otherwise;

ambest.com/Ratings/RatingsSearch.asp.

As you can see if you go to the web site, the First Commercial Transportation and Property Insurance Company IS NOT RATED!

This guy, Corey Johnson, puts it in writing and is totally misleading.

Mr. Johnson goes on to write "You will find us on the BBBonline.org and will see that we are an A rated Brokerage firm. Please look into these companies. When you do, you will see that the proof is all over the web. One of our major competitors is Continental. Cross reference their names with the different websites you have been using to research. When looking into buying a policy make sure you do your research.

Sincerely,

Corey Johnson

This report was written by a competitor, who, after writing it, called us and told us he did so. Unfortunately for him, he forgot to block the number he was calling from. We are considering appropriate legal remedies. Thank you.

I just received some junk mail from them today, the envelope is misleading wants you to think its important. Also makes statement you must call 1-800-816-1204, due to them not being able to make outbound calls. Makes no sense. But I would not call that number, because once they get your phone number on their ID. I could almost bet you will be signed up for numerous annoying phone solicitation from them. They also do not mention any prices, which is another way to laso you in. BEWARE! After reading all the complaints, I will go somewhere else.

AA Auto Warranty is to blame...Not Warranty America....

AA Auto Warranty is to blame here. They train their salespeople to lie. In every way possible they mislead the consumer. I have no doubt in my mind the salesperson lied. They are commission based salespeople, who if they don't hit their "quotas" will get fired. There is a reason why they do not show you the price online. When you fill out the quote request, it says someone will call you shortly. This used to not be the case. They used to show you the full price. The reason is that the salesperson can now ask whatever price they choose because it will increase their commission. Then if you object to the price, they can show you a big "discount" to buy it. Then they also dupe the consumer with a website called Autowarrantyresearch.com. AA Auto Warranty owns it. The "editor" of the articles is an employee who works there. His real name is only a few letters off the name shown in the articles. If you look at the site, you will see two warranty brokers recommended. AA Auto Warranty and Auto Warranty Shopper. Both are AA Auto Warranty once again. You won't find a number to call on the Auto Warranty Shopper site. There is a reason for that. Put a quote request in for them and AA Auto calls you back. AA Auto also has two Better Business Bureau pages. One in Newark Delaware and one in West Deptford NJ. Now you ask why would they do this? Because thay only have a "B" rating on their main one in Delaware. They show the NJ one to consumers so it makes them look better. While it is true they have maybe a half dozen or so companies for warranties, they go through them very quickly. Always changing companies. They will tell you it is because they are constantly researching to find "you" the best company. When in fact they get such a bad rep with these companies that the administrators let them go...Even if your car qualifies for bumper to bumper coverage, the salesperson will offer you a product warranty because they can make more money with it. They offer some kind of "choice" coverage through a company called CDWS. That is what they tried to sell me and it didnt fly. Why? Because the salesperson never told me it was a product warranty and three weeks later a box with tablets to put in my car came to my door. I am not putting those in my BMW. I asked many people and companies for this info. Choose wisely before dealing with a company like this. Lastly, Warranty America is a good company with a solid reputation in this business. Dont listen to lies that they are going out of business. They are strong with many years in the business. Some warranty brokers will just lie so you buy their product...

I don't know what your earlier post is supposed to mean exactly. You say "fix your problem" - what problem is that? We have no problem at all. That's what you don't seem to understand. We are NOT AA Auto Warranty, nor are we affiliated with any other company that sells our contracts except to the extent that we are ONE of the contracts or products they sell. This entire issue you posted has NOTHING to do with us at all and for you to make it seem as though it does in some attempt to hurt us is the EXACT problem with the internet - people can say anything they want with absolutely no knowledge as to what they are talking about and it will be posted and unfortunately some people will believe it. That's why I'm taking the time to post this. I have many other replies to other posts - I'm not sure what you mean by that. That makes no sense either and there is no "cloud" with us for anything. Just be clear - we are not AA Auto Warranty. If one of these companies that sells contracts does something wrong, by all means hold them accountable. Just understand - they are NOT us.

Funny How It All Comes Out AFTER The Complaints

Ralph, you have more patience than I and glad you're happy. Funny how you knew 3rd party was involved. None of us did. A company should know who is selling their service, I believe. Funny how all the info comes out once people like myself and others lodge their complaints. I chose not to do business with them... Peace~

MY problem was resolved.....

I have a Warranty America LLC vehicle service contract for 72 months or 100,000 miles that was purchased in July 2004. I have used the contract without any problems at the local Ford dealer in my hometown.I found out about this company over the internet and I was dealing with a third party who sold policies for several different companies.I chose the Warranty America policy because it had the coverage, length of time/mileage,and cost that I was shopping for.I had several telephone conservations with the employee of the 3rd. party,at my request they e-mailed me a copy of the warranty, which I read WORD for WORD.The employee assured me a particular item was covered....but the written warranty clearly stated other wise.I called the employee back and questioned him about this and his reply was,"your repair facility will call us for approval, and we will approve it." When I received the e-mailed copy of the warranty coverages I realized that I had been dealing with an AGENTor 3rd. party, and not with a Warranty America employee. I directly contacted the Warranty America company by telephone and a manager returned my call,I told them of my experiences with the agent and They immediately contacted the 3rd. party company and I received a call and apology from the agent for his actions. The Warranty America manager also called me back to express the companies appreciation for my call, and referred me to another company in order to purchase my contract..I am well satisified.

Seems to me that the same CFO is represented in all 3 of your posted "Ripoffs". http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/193/RipOff0193103.htm http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/201/RipOff0201058.htm http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/291/RipOff0291017.htm I didn't purchase a warranty since the cloud exists and a previous history is established on your site. Dunno about the Better Business Bureau's reports. The CFO mentions there may be other insurance companies that his product is insured with, but his "agent" writes the name of the company that isn't rated. It still isn't. Fix your problem Mr. CFO and all this will just go away... Have a nice day.

don't be misled

#11REBUTTAL Owner of company

I am the CFO and co-owner of Warranty America. While it is true that some of those statements made by AA Auto Warranty are NOT true of our contracts, that does not mean they couldn't be selling other contracts that are not backed by "A" rated insurers - that I do not know. However, let's be clear - this post is nothing more than some strange attempt to harm us in some way and for what? This posting should be about AA Auto Warranty, NOT about Warranty America. We are not AA Auto Warranty and we do not sell contracts - they do. If they do something misleading they have to answer for that and we will not allow them to continue selling our contracts. In addition, I'm not sure how not being backed by an "A" rated company would automatically make someone a "victim". There have been plenty "A" rated companies that have made victims out of people so to suggest that is just nonsense. People should judge a company on its own merits and reputation, rather than on hypothetical problems or on issues created by a different company altogether.
