When I got my notice from the IRS I contacted these thieves. I paid them nearly $4000.00 to handle my account. They promised they would stop the levies and work with the IRS to get things in order. They did nothing. They said they could not contact the RO. I made one call and immediately had the RO on the phone. Since they took over my account I have had 7 levies and one wage garnishment; and Washington tax service did nothing to stop the action.

They won't even return phone calls once they have your money. Save you money and go someplace else. These guys are thieves

Company responds to complaint

We would have responded to this complaint sooner, but the client filed it under Washinton T. Service (misspelling).  This taxpayer/client, a Mr. Krofick of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, hired us in November of 2007.   From the beginning of his case, we emphasized the importance of him filing his tax returns (in which he planned to do himself).  Filing was the key to his case and ultimately what delayed the case and created numerous levy situations for the client.

We also did have difficulty getting a hold of the Revenue Officer early in the case.  It took five messages to get a hold of the IRS officer at the beginning and later on, we had a difficult time getting thru to her.   In December 2007, the client received his first levy and we got it released.  We again reiterated to the client the importance of filing the tax returns -- which were still in process (supposedly).   On December 14, 2007, the IRS called us -- to explain that the returns needed to be filed by December 21st.  The client did NOT comply.  Months go by.  Finally in the summer of 2008 returns the returns got done.  By this time, we had very little leverage with the IRS and the taxpayer was vulnerable, again, to levies.  We also found the IRS agent -- to be aggressive and justiably impatient with this client.

In September 2008, due to issues the IRS had with his completed tax returns, a new round of levies went thru the taxpayer.  Ironically, as Mr. Krofick published this complaint -- he continued to work with us.

We are disappointed that the taxpayer had this experience of our firm.  But it does illustrate the importance of filing all tax returns immediately upon getting into trouble with the IRS collections department.  In hindsight, we should have sold him tax preparation services aggressively at the beginning of the case and NOT leave the responsibility in his hands.
