Waste Water Managment City And County Of Denver ripoff A large city trash truck creates pothole breaks main sewer line and my sewer line and I am responsable for all repairs because there was no dirt in the hole, although it is in the alley Denver Colorado
We have owned our home for 26 years and through all of these years I have called and complained about the eroding alley, pot holes that eventually turned into sinkholes all of the stress fractures no maintenance what so ever on the carriage lot that the city owns. this goes on every year.
Finally the City and County of Denver comes out to clean up the carriage lot behind my garage and driveway, A large city trash truck causes a large sink hole in front of my trash cans the city truck leaves they berricade the sinkhole with my trash cans, when I arrive home from work I call for help on barricading this hole for fear that a child might fall in. finally 12hours later they come out and barricade it. the next day Mark Crews (water Quality Investigator came out and summoned us with a letter letting us know that it is our responsability to take care of all of the costs with regards to the sinkhole and plumbing.
the violation of section 56-103(f) of the revised Municipal Code and section 5.04 of the Denver Public Works Rules and regulations.In talking to Mr. Zarco The director of WMD he said "If we were not under budget and under manned we would have soped the alley every year and would have discovered this leak before it created such a large problem financially and damages but we have not scoped your alley for Five (5) years so therefore it went unknown" So we have to pay alot more money then if the city had did their job in the first place.
We are okay with sharing part of the expense although we were not aware of the codes outside of our property. But we feel that do to neglagence on the City's part we have been wronged.I have pictures of the terrible condition the alley and carriage lot is in. If there is any way I can get assistance or help with regards to this matter it would be greatly appreciated thank you for listening.
