Hello I’m currently going through issues with waypoint homes as well and I would like to know if you can possible help us.We are an active duty military family and we rented a single family home from waypoint homes on January 16,2017. On January 16,2017 I did the walk through of the home with the waypoint realtor and I notice a smell in the home. Then my children eyes started to turn red and they started getting rashes.I called and emailed waypoint and the realtor about the smell and about the air quality in home but nothing was done.

On February 15,2017 water started coming up through the floor in the living room. A water extraction team came out and tested every room I the room and it was wet including the wall that separates the living room from the kitchen. He removed base border from wall and we all woke up feeling ill the next day February 16,2017. My children face was puffy and eyes were red and I couldn’t breathe. We went to urgent care and my children were put on steroids because they all developed a strong forceful cough and I antibiotics as well. On Friday a mold specialist confirmed that there is mold in the home . Waypoint released us from our lease on February 24, 2017, because the house was deemed uninhabitable .

We’ve since moved out as of February 27,2017 I a still not well and neither is my oldest son he still has a really bad cough because his room was the main one affected by mold. We received a move-out statement from waypoint homes and they are billing us for electricity from 1/16/17 until 3/1/17. We have our electricity bill already from Teco company for $167.50. Waypoint homes informed me this morning 3/21/17 at 9:30 a.M that they have a third party company that works with Teco and they will provide us the bill .I spoke to Teco in regard to this electric bill from waypoint homes and they informed me that it is fraudulent because there is no third party company that is affiliated with them.

They informed my husband and I not to pay it because we already paid Teco for electricity but waypoint is holding on to our security deposit and took payment also for fraudulent electric bill in which Teco knows nothing about. Please if you can help my family and I get justice we greatly appreciate it .

We do use a 3rd party company called Conservice for all utility billing. If you could please provide proof of the dates you paid directly to Teco we would like to send to our accouting team to investigate. You can send this info to [email protected]. Please include your full name, Waypoint property address and the above review with your email.
