Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
West Corporation took all my information including my drivers license, my social security number. They then said they hired me. I replied to their email asking what the pay rate is with no answer whatsoever. I emailed their human resources and payroll department in excess of 5 times each. They refused to reply.

If a company is irresponsible to the point where they will not reveal their pay rate before you give notice to your present employer, then they need not be in business!!

I recieve email after email asking me to start training and still they refuse to tell me payrate. What kind of BS is that?? I see why they beg for workers. I work for a great at home company. I get paid by the minute whether I am on a call or not. They are up front and very honest. I know what is going on at all times.

West Corporation, I have nothing good to say about you. Soooo Sorry!!!

Pissed off!

Sorry you had a bad experience. I had no trouble reading about the pay rate that is onsite. They guarantee minimum wage for where you live, but average Direct Response Employees average between $7-$9 per hour. I've had no problems with WestAtHome, sorry that you did.

Everyone's Payrate is based on their state

Hi, I just wanted to respond to your comments. West is processing over 400 apps per day, and it may have taken someone time to get back to you. It took me a month to get in, but I'm in and they also GUARANTEE your pay rate, if your call volume doesn't at least, add up to the hourly minimum wage for your state. They guarantee to "up" your check to that amount. Because they are an employer now, they have to pay at least minimum wage, and everyone's state is different. They have some clients where they pay by the minute, some per call, but no matter what, you can bet that even if you get NO CALLS!, your check will reflect the hourly rate X however many hours you worked your shifts for a two week period. I also worked for a company that paid by the minute; for 6 years, and they let me go because of inactivity. I explained to them that I was abruptly relocated, something that was beyond my control, and I explained that to them throughout the time that I was having to relocate, and they still deactivated me. I asked that they put me on some sort of hold status, but they didn't. Needless to say that I was P'd off , especially after working for 6 long, loyal years for them, and referring many other agents to the company. They said there was nothing they could do. That's why I'm with West. I know others that are with WEST and they love it! They were also with the "other company". I will tell you, that the other company paid a few more cents per minute, but they didn't always guarantee pay for all slots worked, no matter what. West in moving in a new direction, and I love it. By the way minimum wage for your state is: Colorado State Minimum Wage January 1, 2007, increased to $6.85 per hour. January 1, 2008, will increase to $7.02 per hour. January 1, 2009, and in subsequent years, is adjusted annually according to the process described below If you did a little research on the website, it mentioned that you would be guaranteed the minimum wage for your state. I do understand your frustration, and everyone has different experiences, but to write this report before trying to furhter investigate, was not fair. Emails don't always get into the right hands. I had some difficulty getting through to them as well, during my application process. I made a few phone calls, to get an update on my status, and was able to reach someone. We are dealing with humans, and sometimes they got bogged down with more pressing issues. a little elbow grease goes a long way. I would never go back with "The Other Company", and as a matter of fact, if compared, because now I know the facts, I'd definitely refer people to West! The other company left a bad tast in my mouth, and I had always had such great things to say about them. NOT ANYMORE! I was there in the beginning, and stuck with them through many rough times, including late checks. Never once did I complain. And now that they are growing too big for their britches, they are acting like "you know the I wish you all the best. Have a great day!

Pay Rate

Human Resource is not going to tell you the pay rate. What you have to do is llog in and go to Training. Pay rate is depending on the company you work for( HSN, Sears, etc). You select which company you want to work for and when I gives you details on the compnay training it will tell you your pay rate before you actually start the training. Pay rate is during taining based on the minimum wage in your area with the company I work for. Then it's paid per talk time. Pay is biweekly you can have it sent to a checking account, ADP Total Pay card, or check by mail. The compnay is fair and I haven't had any problems yet. You can explore the training and pay and if you're not satisified under My Information you can choose to resign from that training or the company.
