Westwood Virtual Staffing Ripped off twice for an appplication submiited. One for original appliaction and again with a different confirmation code and charge when I changed a reference on my resume. & application. Ripoff Washington
I applied for contract positions on line. I submitted an application and resume. Was charged $24.95 and told that I would receive the relevant download to get me started within 48 - 72 hours. Gave my credit card information as payment. Received a confirmation number from Westwood. One day later I contacted them on line to advise that a person I had given as a reference was no longer available and supplied a new reference. The next day I received a another email with a confirmation number different from the first, which to me indicated that I had been charged twice for the same application. Contacted them regularly over the next two days. No response. It was in just putting Westwood's name in a general search that I connected with another legitimate Virtual Online Staff service that advised me that Westwood was a ripoff and directed me as to reporting and getting the charges reversed. I did contact my credit card company and was fortunate that the charges had not yet appeared on my card. They advised that I email Westwood to advise them that as of Feb. 15th, 2006 no charges would be allowed by Westwood on my credit card and if they did they would be reversed. I requested an acknowledgement from Westwood on my email but of course I did not receive anything back. Big surprise! I was fortunate to get on top of it right away. Apparently they operate on this website for awhile and then when things get hot they design a new one and start again.
