Whiskaway Cleaning Services, And Tom Thorne Technician highly suspected of stealing digital camera - Manager has no intent to help resolve situation Decatur Georgia
I set up an air duct cleaning appointment with Whiskaway, because I had a coupon. If I had done my homework and looked them up on the BBB, I would've found they failed to resolve several complaints filed against them - and this will probably be one more they fail to resolve. The morning before the technicians arrived, I left my digital camera on the computer desk, in plain view of one of the rooms they entered. Seven days later when I went to get it, it was gone. No one but the technicians have been in our house since I saw it on the computer desk.
I have no proof that they took it - however, we've turned our small house upside down looking for it. I was also disturbed knowing that one of the technicians chose to stay upstairs for an extra 2 hours steam-cleaning the carpets for free (when they knew we just had them cleaned), because he said he wanted to clean up his mess - the only mess he left was a few large dust particles from the vents that could have been picked up by a vacuum. He had no interest in cleaning the stairs in the entryway where they had been tracking dirt in all afternoon.
When I brought our concerns to the manager of the company, he denied any theft, and refused to take action to help us recoup our $300 camera. We asked if he would be willing to refund us about 10% of our fee to help cover the cost of a new camera, but he refused, and told us we were just fishing for a refund from the unexpected high bill. We are now filing a police report, in case his technician has a track-record. Whiskaway Cleaning Services doesn't seem to care about keeping their customers happy.
