White Hen Pantry Discriminatory practices VERY rude to customers & vendors Rip-off DeKalb & Syacmore Illinois
You will not have to worry about the wrongful termination of an African-American employee at either of THESE two White Hen Pantry locations, because the current owners of both locations (the one in Sycamore is Elizabeth, last name unknown) has yet to hire an African-American or Latino employee.
The owner in Sycamore, and at least two of the employees in DeKalb, were EXTREMELY rude to me when I tried to do my job (I am one of the newspaper vendors). I know I was singled out for rude treatment by all of the abive because I am a community activist who has taken some unpopular stands, including my stand against discrimination.
There are two other businesses about which I will file separate reports, but all three have something in common: very questionable hiring and promotion procedures. One of the other two companies appears to practice race discrimination, the other does not. However, both have allowed some very rude white female employees to be promoted to management positions, as has White Hen.
