Me and my girlfriend recently quit this company after only three months of employment. We quit becuase they were complaining about thier fuel . we got are mpg to 7.2 they were not happy then we got it to 7.6 they still werent happy we ended up getting it to 8.2(which is hard to do in a big rig with no apu specially in 90 degree heat ).

Also the owner of Wil_trans called me cussing me out threatening to fire me because he was looking at old info on the unit I drove. I had to shut truck off in 90 to 100 degree heat at nite and burn up just to save my job. Then they turned my truck down from 65mph to 60mph which sucked but we lived with it. That caused me to be late on loads that was the dispatchers fault because i warned them in advance that I wouldn't make delivery on-time. They told me to get it anyways and give them a good ETA for delivery which I did. They never changed it and that was usually the nite or weekend dispatchers that told me they would change it.

So my second to last day i received a call from the owner saying I wouldn't make it as a COMPANY DRIVER. They brought me back to the yard but i quit (going over to Prime their sister company) before they fired me.

Everything looked good at Prime and all until they contacted Wil-Trans and Wil-Trans told them they fired me and that i was late on ALL LOADS. I wasnt and that caused me to not get hired on at Prime. Wil-Trans is a MUST TO THINK HARD ABOUT GOING TO THIS COMPANY!!!!!! They consider themselves a family caring company but the only family they care about is the Wilson (owners) family. If you wanna go to a company that wants you to take your total miles of trip and divide by 6 and put that much fuel on board then they for you. tanks always on empty and scared of running out. THEY ARE GOING UNDER OR SO IT SEEMS.

I have been with Wil-trans for 6 years and am disappointed when reading the report about our company.  Wil-trans has offered me a great way to make a living for my family.  My dispatcher, Jeff Thomas, does a great job working with me to enjoy time home with my family while making a great living.  I get the benefit of large transportation companies freight while being treated by a member of the this smaller organization.  It is the best of both worlds.  Never have I been asked to idle my truck or cussed but rather treated as a valuable member of this organization.   I like the fact I am not a number but rather my dispatcher knows me and my family.

If anybody wonders why the general public has a low opinion of truck drivers and the trucking industry one must simply look at the last response...from someone who obviously has an IQ which varies at room temperature and quite obviously doesn't have any ability to communicate at the best, a third grade level!

looks like this is a classic case of kiss a*s taking place this idiot wouldn't know what a apu looked likelet alone know that trucks might of had apu's on them that didn't work and not all trucks had them this jerk off needs to get the facts right........i mean he has his head so far up his a*s it's not even funny if he has been their that long he surely should know about the screwing that takes place around their like the $11.52 a week insurance deductible buy down and the roughly $34.00 a week adminstrative fee and the $25.00 a week it cost to get your settlement and the .02 cents a mile additional fuel tax you pay on top of what you pay at the pump....$11.52+34.00+25.00*=$3667.04 and if you drove 150,000 a year=$3000.00 in additional fuel taxes and if you put money into a maintenance account they paid zero interest to you on your money but if you had a big ol goose egg for a settlement for being gone and working they are all buddy buddy with you.....but they are not bashful for charging you interest when you are negative on your settlement......so big picture idiot before you tell somebody to get something right and take up for a company that would never survive with out being under prime's wing thing about what and who you are taking up for and the reason why..........not to mention the fact they got evicted from their former building for none payment of rent. how could a company rip drivers off and not pay their bills but they make sure they figure out how to get every dime out of you they can no matter how hard you worked for it and they effort you put into it to make that dime they stole from you.........3 years ain't s*** try 6 years ..........this place needs to close the doors.............
