William Jackson, General Contractor, The Jackson Group Took money without finishing Work on Basement Never returned calls cashed check ripoff Atlanta Georgia
William Jackson gave me his card at the Home Depot in Stone Mountain Georgia. He had a severe stuttering handicap, wore wide brim hats, and painter like jeans.
He said that he had 37 employees and provided minimal benefits to his employees. I asked him to give me an estimate on what it would take to finish my basement lay down an electrical heating floor system and laminate tile. He never wrote down a price. started the work and then told me he needed money for materials. He told me to make it out to him personally. I explained I didn't like the fact that he didn't tell me he needed money up front, but I gave the benefit of the doubt at the moment.
He brought materials and started the work with only one employee, which was questionable. Said he would finish the next day. Next day he never showed up said someone tried to steal his truck and had to make police reports and he was on his way. Never showed up. Cashed my checks. I tried to put stop payment on them, but he cashed it the same day I gave it to him, the weekend came and when I didn't hear from him stopped payment, but the bank issued him the money before I could get a valid stop payment three days later.
I need to find this guy and get my money back.
