Windy City Foods Not picking up order I cancelled or crediting my credit card Elgin Illinois
A broker from Windy City Foods came to my house with a story stating that he had boxes of meat he was delivering to my neighbor but their credit card was declined and he needed to sell them. Before I could respond I was back at his truck and Briand bringing the meat to my door. He showed them to me and told me how great of a deal he could get me. I felt bad for him so I bought two boxes. When my husband got home I told him about it and he said he didn't want it and for me to contact them and cancel the order and have them pick it up.
I contacted the broker and explained my husband didn't want the meat and I needed to schedule a time for it to be picked up and my credit card credited. When I got home later that day there was a message from Todd to call him about the order. I called him back and left him a message. No return call so I called him back the next day and I got him but he was busy and he asked if he could call me back in an hour. Three hours later no call so I can again and left a message. He finally calls back and I explain that I don't want the meat and I would like to schedule a pick up and my credit card credited. He asks why and I told him my husband doesn't want it. He becomes persistent and wants to talk to him and I tell him the reason why is my husband has had the meat before and didn't like it. He asked me where because he didn't show us in his database. I told him a friend of his has bought it before and then he asks if he bought it from them. I finally got irritated and just told him listen we don't want it so please come pick it up. He said he would contact me in a couple days. I am still waiting to be contacted. I am calling my credit card company to stop payment so maybe that will get their attention.
