WINNERS CHOICE PUBLICATIONS SCAM ABOUT A $50,000 DRAWING, TRY TO SELL YOU MAGAZINES BAKERSFIELD California
People call Winner's Choice Publications hoping that they won something. they think they are getting free stuff, or that they won a prize. Some people call and want to know if it's a bill. i used to work for that lame company.
The boss makes over $850 bucks off of one subscription. The take company takes it straight out of your credit account. People actually gave us their account numbers.
When I worked for wcp, we only made about 100 sales a day. I say ONLY, because before 9/11, wcp would make about 4 times more than that. Once you call wcp, the telemarketer will do her job. She has to. Or she'll get fired. She has to rebuttle her butt off. Make sure she TRYES to make you buy magazines.
And the free watch? Pssssssht whatever! It's a piece of junk. And that's if you actually get it! Most of the callers call back 5 months later complainning that they never got their free watch, nor their welcome package. We have excuses for that too. WCP trains the telemarketers with a bunch off nonsence.
If you ask to speak to a manager, it's useless. And if you try to get your name off the mailing list? Pshhhhhht good luck!! WCP doesn't take people off the mailing list. I never saw it be done. I worked for wcp because it was comfy.
The BBB is in it too. WCP pays them money so that they can say that WCP is a member of the BBB. Sad but true. The girls that work their are good at doing their job. they have nice cars and dress good. from all the money they make selling. some of them make about $900.00 a pay check or more.
WCP has no computers. When a caller calls, the telemarketer knows nothing about the caller until the customer reveals all the information.
How does WCP get your name and address? WCP purchases lists of names with addresses from Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and many more.

wcp is no longer WCP. they are now something like... California Magazine publishers... or something like that. i'll let you guys know when i find out for sure. they are still located in the same place... and i think they may be under new management. they still sell magazines, and still send out their dumb little post cards asking you to call them, "we have important info to tell you"... just throw the postcards away. save yourself time.
