Clearly this breeder is all about producing hundreds of puppies at cheap prices. His motive is to make money at any cost not to raise healthy puppies for people.
He calls him self a professional breeder, More like a professional con in my opinion. Golden doodles have more health problems now than purebred goldens or poodles. Why? Simple because of breeders like this that do not health test their breeding dogs.
Common Health Problems
Breeding Goldens can be profitable for puppy mills and backyard breeders. As a result of careless breeding for profit, Goldens are prone to genetic disorders and other diseases. Hip dysplasia is very common in the breed. When buying a puppy its parents should have been examined by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or by The University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (PennHIP) for hip disease.
Obesity is also a common problem in Golden Retrievers who are not properly exercised. Owners of Golden retrievers should be sure to provide sufficient activity so as to avoid weight problems, particularly as the dog ages.
Other Common Disorders
Other diseases and disorders to which Golden Retrieves are susceptible include:
Cancer: The most common is hemangiosarcoma, followed by lymphosarcoma, mast cell tumors, and osteosarcoma.
Eye diseases: Cataracts (the most common eye disease in Goldens), progressive retinal atrophy, glaucoma, distichiasis, entropion, corneal dystrophy, and retinal dysplasia.
Heart problems: Subvalvular aortic stenosis and cardiomyopathy are major problems in this breed
Joint diseases: Patella luxation, osteochondritis, panosteitis and cruciate ligament rupture
Skin diseases: Allergies that often leading to acute moist dermatitis or "hot spots"
Hemophilia

Juvenile Cataracts are real and can show up at only three months of age. This kennel has produced eye diseases many of his puppies. If you have become a victim of this kennel please contact the SPCA sunshine coast branch and file a report with your documented vet proof. Send in your signed health guarantee and send a registered letter to Jamie to notify him that his have produced another genetically sick puppy.
The warnings are real, and not to be taken lightly. Unhealthy dogs and puppies are coming from this kennel, becareful of what you buy or are given. Taking a puppy from this kennel could end up costing you over 10,000. in vet bills and many tears and heart ache.
This is not a laughing matter or joke as Jamie claims. Jamie continues to down play and brush off the facts and truth about what he is doing.
This breeder clearly does not care about producing healthy puppies or who purchases them.
Not once does this breeder ever defend himself to say his dogs are OFA or Pen hip rated, Eye Cert.s results, or any mention of being a good breeder. He only writes look at our cute puppy pictures and videos or blame others. He avoids answering questions were he might be caught in a lie. Make sure your questions are all answered directly best to get it in a email or in writing. Or he will claim he never said it or you are making up slander.
Winsome Kennels is proven to down play the posted facts. He continues to hide behind the assumption that all his problems are from only one lady located in Victoria.

This vet was contacted and responded as expected "NO HEALTH TESTING DONE". PROOF THAT JAMIES LIED TO EVERYONE ABOUT THE PUPPIES COMING FROM FULLY HEALTH TESTED DOGS, if in doubt contact him. If the parents had testing it would of been from the stud dogs that he took with out paying for that had to be returned by court order to their rightful owners.
Thank you for contacting us, Winsome Kennels brings in hundreds of puppies each year and we vaccinate them. He fills out the paper work but we do not health test any of his dogs. We do not have any records of OFA hip or elbow X-Rays, Eye Cerfs or Blood Panel results.

The initial testing was done by our vet who keeps the x-rays at his clinic. You are welcome to call 604-532-7600 (Dr. Mrar.)
Becuase so many people are asking for OFA certification we are in the process of re doing all the x-rays as is required by OFA. We have 30 females so we produce 250 puppies a year. We have repeat clients adopting our pups.The only person complaining about our kennel is the breeder in Victoria because we are more competitively priced. If our dogs were not genetically sound there would be tons of warnings on the net. Why don't you come and visit and see for yourself.

It interesting how many e-mails I'm getting ending in live.ca. I've created a form answer to address health issues. Here it is!
Our site is updated daily. All our dogs have been fully tested including x-rays by our vet before breeding. We have a proven record in years of breeding with no history of genetic health issues from any of our breeding stock.
Since we entered the Vancouver Island market with very competitive pricing a local breeder has been fear - mongering about commercial kennels and certifications. You are welcome to visit our beautiful kennel by appointment 7 days a week and you can peek in any day by visiting our live puppy cam. Because so many buyers are now requesting copies of certification we have begun a program to re x-ray all our dogs and submit them to the OFA. It should be noted, if humans did all the testing the breeder in Victoria says should be done, then she wouldn't be here.Jamie
ps If you have a particular puppy in mind and the parents are not OFA certified yet, I'll be glad to have them done next and reserve your pup without a deposit.

10 years and not one complaint yet all of a sudden we don't health test and we produce sick dogs. Hmmmm...
We have approximately 3 litters a month. We have been breeding for more than 10 years. Do the math, look at the website and come visit and see for yourself. We have a great selection of healthy, happy and well adjusted puppies.
Note: not one report says "I bought a puppy and it has...."

Jamies Sheppards personality is described as a Sociopath.
Traits include: Egocentricity; Callousness; Impulsivity; Conscience defect; Exaggerated sexuality; Excessive boasting; Risk taking; Inability to resist temptation; Antagonistic, deprecating attitude toward the opposite sex; Lack of interest in bonding with a mate.
Sociopathy is chiefly characterized by something wrong with the person's conscience. They either don't have one, it's full of holes like Swiss cheese, or they are somehow able to completely neutralize or negate any sense of conscience or future time perspective. Sociopaths only care about fulfilling their own needs and desires - selfishness and egocentricity to the extreme. Everything and everybody else is mentally twisted around in their minds as objects to be used in fulfilling their own needs and desires. They often believe they are doing something good for society, or at least nothing that bad.
There are at least four (4) different subtypes -- common, alienated, aggressive, and dyssocial. Commons are characterized mostly by their lack of conscience; the alienated by their inability to love or be loved; aggressives by a consistent sadistic streak; and dyssocials by an ability to abide by gang rules, as long as those rules are the wrong rules.

We have been breeding dogs for more than a decade and we have a proven track record. Our puppies are produced from health tested parents and we are a vet recommended breeder.
You only have to visit our website and read the testimonials from clients, the message from the owner (especially the part about the SPCA having never sited us for any infraction), take the virtual tour, and watch the puppies playing on our live puppy cams to see that these posts on Rip-off report are a pathetic attempt to villify and discredit our business.
With the recent US court ruling that the internet forums must provide the poster's identification in such obvious slander cases, we look forward to a successful slander & defamation action in the BC Supreme Court of this pathetic breeder who continues to post these outrageous lies and fear mongering tactics.
