Woome.com Woo Media Scam Website. No real people, everyone from Ghana Los Angeles, California
Joined this website in order to meet people in the area I was traveling in. Screens pop up and tell you that a person is interested in you. You click on the screen and it is supposed to take you to their profile but you get an error page 8 times out of 10. I have been on sites like this before and I know what kind of response a person will generally get. I got a small fraction of responses from people.
When you do get a response from someone, they want to meet you on Yahoo Messenger where they will try to make you think they are an attractive woman interested in you but of course end up asking you for a credit card and they "happen" to be living in Ghana at the time.
The site will tell you that you've got a new message but when you look there is no message there. There is no functional chat rooms, and I was never able to establish a video connection with anyone.
Most all of the people that appear are not members, so they can't communicate with you at all, thus making the site even more useless. I used it for 4 days or so and it became so frustrating and useless that I just stopped using it.
I just called and asked for a refund for my $25, and they refused, citing some unseen "no return policy". I will be filing a complaint with VISA for my refund.
