World Management Group ,WMG-Agency Former Stylus Canada Got paid for modeling jobs by clients, but did not pay the models. Toronto Ontario
This company, World Management Group (WMG), bought out the Stylus Canada Agency before Christmas and were very friendly to the talent and models telling us not to worry, they are expanding and moving forward and would like to keep everyone one board.
Since this time I have done a job for the agency and when I asked to be paid for that job, as well as at least 3 others in 2008 and one in 2007, I have had difficulty getting in touch with anyone.
The numbers I was given all go to voice mail right away and despite multiple messages to Thomas Tharakan (managing director), Cynthia Cully (agency director) as well as Carol and Chantelle, I have had no return phone calls.
I even went as far as to to stop by the Agency on Queen Street and it is locked. The staff at store beneath said there has been no one coming or going from the Agency for weeks.
Stylus Canada / WMG Agency has been paid for jobs that I have done for almost two years and before Christmas they promised that once the take over was complete, they would get on it. Clients/companies are presently using my images without my permission as the contracts I had signed included payment to me through the agency.
Since, then, they have disappeared and do not return phone calls, messages or emails and I am not the only one. Other talent, models and children are still waiting to hear from this Company.
This sounds extreme, but truthfully they turned out to be liars, cheats and thieves. Do not trust them!
