Reported Damages: $495.00 I was contacted by US Merchant Systems aka www.merchantsystems.com representative in November 2014. Mr Lewis told me that I would be selling credits card processors and processing to their clients and Vendor Services at a reduced rate for processing at a rate of approximately 1/1/2% to 2%. I was not to be charged the $495.00 until I made my first sale. I was told I would be getting my training packet from the in 3 to 5 business days. My trainer was to call me shortly thereafter. I asked him what my total investment would be and he told me $495.00. When I looked them up on the Scam Book report under merchantsystems.com, I found nothing negative. Then I looked them up in December on google and I found all kinds of scams that were going on against their clients. I did not want to be involved with people who were scamming their clients & I didn't want to be part of that scam. So I called and cancelled my account. My authorization number that they assigned me was 030172. They returned my $495.00.
Then this month, they charged me another $495.00 which I did not authorize. All of this was done via telephone. I don't have a contract even supporting that I was to work for them. I have tried to call and call but no one will answer the phone or return my calls.I have 2 numbers that I was given in order to get in touch with them. The 2nd number when called has another canned voice and it says which extension do you wish to speak to. I tried keying in and saying 3290 but that was an invalid response. There was no other way to get through, like a receptionist or anything. I cannot afford to lose $495. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I was searching for work from home opportunites and I guess somone sold them my number. I am going to contact the Attorney Generals Office in the state of California, Colorado and Texas. After completing a thorough investigation into all of our company's financial transactions, member service records, legal reports and human resources/personnel files, we’re proud to announce that our company remains entirely free of legitimate complaints.
One of the greatest rights we have in America is the freedom of speech. As a US based business, we have open communication with hundreds of members of the small business community across the country. Additionally, members of our board of directors sit on the boards of various companies in an effort to help support and grow opportunities for thousands of people in this great country.
In this fictitious complaint about our company, the author asserts several falsehoods which simply cannot be true. We, unlike the author will prove our rebuttal with facts.
- Our company does not and has not ever offered any product or service for the dollar amount indicated in this bogus claim.
- Our company has no way for anyone to make any transaction for the amount which was claimed in this deceitful report.
- We have meticulous records of all transactions of company personnel and clientele which have been thoroughly reviewed for any existence of any individual by the name identified in this false report; none exists.
- The alleged authorization number this author referenced does not fit the format of our file system.
- We do not enter into business with any company or anyone until a contract is executed between our company those that we do business with.
- Our toll free corporate telephone number is proudly displayed on every page of our website and on virtually every piece of marketing collateral. Our phone lines are answered professionally around the clock and there is no extension within our phone system which this author claims to have dialed.
- The above is true for the months of November, 2014, January, 2015 and virtually throughout the entire existence of our company.
As stated, one of the greatest rights we have in America is the freedom of speech. There is not however, a right to abuse this freedom. We take every comment, compliment and suggestion very seriously at our company. The thought that the fraudster who took the time to file to false report could potentially deter anyone from working with our company to help the small business community thrive and operate more efficiently is very disheartening.
