Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have been purchasing some things I liked at Goodwill Industries over the years. Things have changed over there. Yes, prices have gone up similar to the prices at Target. The utmost items Goodwill are used and donated, sometimes new, from private citizens or public stores to help the secondhand community that is non-profit to help fund the job training programs for low-income families.

What infuriates me is that how Goodwill and their auction site runs their business. This is not how they should run. After researching the secondhand operations on the Internet, it turns out that Goodwill does not put the good, used quality items such as higher-end clothes, jewerly, antiques and collectibles in retails anymore. All of those go to the online auctions for folks to bid on.  The backrooms of GW choose the best items and disregard the second best to their retail stores.  In fact, I contacted one of their operations manager and they stated the lesser values or cheaper items go to the shelves instead. They were afraid the items would be stolen. They have glasses counters with locks. What is wrong with that?  It sounds like Goodwill industries are using the disparate practices to discourage walk in customers from buying items they would want to buy at reasonable prices. Citizens who donate thinking those items would help enrich the community and customers to be able to afford things via retail. They might have no idea GW has an online auction that bids off their items that could bid higher prices the customers who walk in their retail stores could not afford. GW should consider the fair volumes in handing out the donated merchandise on the shelves and the internet site. They are preventing the fairness consumer practices.
