I received a call today from a man who called himself 'Charles' but with HEAVY,THICK accent. He "reported" that my computer was at risk and he wanted permission to go into it. I am SO thankful that when I got to the site there was a message :SCAM~ Do Not comply (or to that effect.)
He kept telling me he was here to fix my computer.... it was just updated,scanned yesterday by my son who teaches computer. With this heavy accent and the visual seen I stopped in my tracks and told him to leave me alone.
He continued to harrass me until I screamed to him "F*** You!" With that I hung up. I had just been scammed for over $5,000 from an IRS scam with "heavy accents".
The caller ID was also weird. Top line said V72413045800013 then the actual number was 213 337-0014. Thanks to the person or company that put the word "SCAM" right on the website !
