I am a former pain management patient of Dr. Nelson Hendler 's and I have not been ablehfind another pain management doctor who has or can help me the way he has and I am not getting proper care for my pain since I along with a large majority of his patients were forced to nother pain management doctor because he was sadly forced to lose his licene and his practice under false pretenses. There is nobody else out there in the field of pain management field like Dr. Hendler.
The pain management doctor that I am currently seeing is nothing like , or anywhere near as great of a pain management doctor as Dr. Hendler, I am sure those of you who all agree with me that Dr. Hendler is innocent of all of tese terribly untrue false accusations and there is no dubt in my mind that he never did any of those thing that cost him his licese and his practice, being wrongfully accused, sued, and convicted based on all lies. I cannot understand why and how The Maryland Board of Physicians could ever actually justify having any evidence at all period, let alone enough evidence to convict him because none of these accustions, charges of sexual misconduct, etc. ,lawsuits that were brought against him by these women and it is bad enough that theu or anybody else would or could accuse or even think ,or believe for a minute that Dr. Hendler would or could ever have done or e=would ever do anything like that, as well as how terribly incompetent all of the people involved in his investigation including The Maryland Board of Physicians are .
Do not think or believe that just because they are The Maryland Board of Physicians means that they are and have competent people , investigators , even doctors who are not competent and all of the people iwho wer involved and took part of the investigation, the so called investigators such as the law , The Baltimore County Police Department , The FbI, The maryland Board of Medicine , The Maryland Board of Physicians and the people from those 2 Medical Bords are not competent enough to know the difference betweeen knowing the difference between finding evidence to support these allegatons and finding evidence of him haveing controlled substances in numerous bottles in a box behind his desk chair and slightly to thesidde of it, which Inoticed that none of the bottles of prescriptions that I know he seized from patients of his who he wrote those prescriptions for were abussing them and were and turned out to be drug addicts, as well as if he were to prescribe a different medication for all of his patients that did not help them and we called The Mensana Clinic and spoke to either Dr. Hendler , or His 2 female receptionists and they would speak to him and they would place you on hold and they would speak to Dr. Hendler about the patients by giving him their names and address the concerns or subject of the mattter that the patients werer calling about a certain medication that he had just prescribed at the last appoint ment he had with his patients , which would be a couple of days to a week later and his receptionists would come back onto the telephone after placing you on the most brief hold times that you could ever ask for and they would either put the patient through to talk to Dr. Hendler and he would ask the patients to get theirpharmacy to call him and ask us to bring the bottle in for him with us to at our next appointment with him very politely, or the receptionist taking your call would get back on the phone and let the patients know that Dr. Hendler want to see us and for us to come infor an appointment and that he was gonna fit us in for tese matters and if we were in severe pain and havng a bad week he would sometimes have openings for appontments and would have us come in , or if necessary he would alway do his best to fit us in and he always found a way to fit me in, except for one time when he tried to ind space to do so in every way he could, but was not able to , but this was the case for me only once. I did not have a problem with that because I already had an appointment with him 2 days later.
He apologized repeatedly for not being able to fit me in a couple of days sooner to no end in a very sincere manner. He is and never was guilty of these crimes that he was convicted for. There is o way that these jokers of investigators found the proper evidence ,let alone enough of it , or any at all based on their so called evidence that they foun and so called had enugh of to convict him with was all hearsay and the simple fact tht those prescriotion that wwerer of controlled substances that he prescribed to his both former patients who he found ot were abusing them and wer drug addicts, as well as those he seized from his former patients who were there to dtay with him as their pain management doctor that were not working or helping thtem wth their pain, he would only prescribe another controlled substance svript if the patient would return the bottlle with the initial controlled substances in them that he previously precribed each time we asked him for something else for our pain and he would say sure but you would have to either ring in the botlle of prescripton medication bottles with the emaining amount of pills from the last script he gave yuo in order to get a different script for another controlled substace, or substances, and besides any body who has ever been a pain management patient knows that the rules for patients seeing pain management doctors are that they have the right to and ususally do seize the non-working medications from the patient s thet they prescribed for the mto protect their licensess. S o what if all of those prescription bottles of controlled substances were in his office and in fact were out in the open in a card board box and I saw them in his office from the very first time I saw him as a new patient until the last time I was in his office , which was over a 3 yeard period. That should teel these idiots that he had and has othing to hidenor did he ever.
They covictd him based on lies and by evidence of the wrong findings. He desrves his license back and to be able to come back into practicing medicine ipain management in Mayland, I am sure alot you who are also former patients of his want him back as your pain management as much as I do. Why can't we all exchange e-mails with each other and unite to discuss this further. Please feel free to e-e mail me Wave 46, Bill Dundmuir, and Crlos from Houston Texas and any body else who feels the sme way tha I do about Dr. Hendler and who is a former patient of his who know he is the best and is innocent.

Hello,
I am also a former patient of Dr. Hendler's and he helped me out terrifically Did you know that a lot of his former patients call him '' The Miracle Worker"'? I would say that this is the perfect name and title for him .He is the best pain management doctor ever and the only one who could ever help you, me and the majority of his former patients mange their pain successfully. This is because he is the only one who knows exactly what he is doing in the pain management field and out of all of te other pain management dioctors in the field , So may I ask of you to agree to the both of us e-mailing each other privately , meaning that we can have dialogue as former paitients of Dr. Nelson Hendler and not having to let what we have to say be public information and shown, at least maybe at firs on this wesite, or any where else onte internet either. Would this be all right with you/
Please respond to this and let me kknow and kind of direct me how to get in touch wih you by e-mail/

I totally agree wih what you have to say because I have been arguing the same points that you are making. I am a former patient of Dr. Hendler, are you? He did the right thing by keeping the controlled substances in his office. If those morons had used their heads they would have realized that he never had anything to hide. There is no doubt in my mind that he is innocent of every single one of those untrue charges. I for one would love for him to get his license back and come back into practiicingmedicine in pai management. He is the best in the field. My pain has been so out of control since he was forced out of his practice. He desrves another chance. His patients miss and need him and myself and all of his former patients that I have come in contact with by dumb luck do not like any of the other pain management doctors out there that they have tried ans are seeing now. Nobody is like Dr. Hendler, nor can they perform the miracles of pain anagement and help patients get what they need. He is the best and the only one who listens with all of his heart to all of his patients and allows them to tell him what they neeed and feel is he best approach during pain appointments when his patients pain would get and be out of control. If you do not mind , I would like to discuss this with you further in private via e-mail. If you are open to that please let me know.

Dr Nelson Hendler helped me and I saw that he helped a lot of people without being paid. I really don't understand why some people think he would rip off a website builder.. He has enough money to pay for anything like that and enough friends that would do it for free if he asked??
I know the woman that started all this as she was in the clinic while I was there getting surgeries for my neck. I took her as a flirt and someone that really did need mental help. My own opinion. She told me once that she was scared of her husband and would like to stay at the clinic forever.
My name is not Nelson Hendler either...

Wow....did you ever notice that when people try to alert others or whistle-blow that they are called "disgruntled employees"? Thank god for Rip-Off Report where you can actually tell the truth and alert people fairly. So you be the judge.
I'll assume that Dr. Hendler wrote the last rebuttal himself (or his girlfriend) and he may certainly have had all these award winning accolades of his professional ability at one time but let's not lose site of the original posted links. These were available to the public and he lost his license as a result of his conduct....he may ask you to be the judge of what was originally posted..... but a jury of his peers already did that.
He also neglected to tell you that he had a website built that he never paid for and then tried to use an outside computer company to break into the codes of that website to copy it verbatim onto another website he created so he didn't have too pay for the original one. That's pirating. Oh, and if he tries to dispute that.... I have tons of documented emails that will prove him wrong again. Plus the website images and content are copyrighted in the Library of Congress.
Don't get me wrong, the guy is brilliant, but there is another side to this coin. Is it worth your risk?
When someone starts blaming everyone else rather than accept responsibility for one's action the little red flags should start flying!
Google it all yourself....just the facts my dear....just the facts.

I have many years as a former patient of Dr.Nelson Hendler, and your ripoff report is rushing , rushing, rushing to judgement!!!!Trust me , and about a few thousand of his former patients , this man saved our lives!!!Yes , that's correct , "SAVED OUR LIVES"-The trouble here is that , Dr.Hendler was never a "w***e" for the insurance industry, particularly the workers comp insurance industry. If any one sector of the insurance business, or I should say Big, Fat, Wealthy Insurance Business , would love to see a fantstic, caring , compassionate doctor and human being go down , it would be them!!!! This man treated me , at no charge for over three years , even though court orders were in place , the greedy insurance companies never paid him. When I offered to pay him with my own money , he looked at me and said, Bill, I took an oath , to help people , this is what I do, don't worry about the money,it will get paid ". He also was the best diagnostican in the pain and physical medicine business. And this garbage about sexual allegations, came from an ex-girlfriend , who succeeded in destroying his reputation and business, because he fired her after she nearly ruined his patient load!!!This man is not a thief , he and his family are mulit-millionaires , nearly billionaires, and they made their money thru hard work . This is a man , (I spent months at the Stephenson Clinic), that worked tirelessly 70-80 hours each week. And I can get many , many more of his former patients to concour with what I just wrote.
And for the drug distribution , bullshit!!!!!If anything , He was more on the cautious side , than what the news and papers were trying to sell the people!!!!And , I seen many a sexy, georgous woman , go into his office and come out thanking him,not trying to extort money with improper sexual conduct allegations!!!like I stated previously, that came from an ex-love that thought she was going to marry ther billionaire doctor and have it made, and when it went sour , because of her , she came up with story after story.. Ask any former patient , not one of us ever liked her, we all knew what she was after. And to help more, doctor Hendler is a good looking , young lloking for his age , intelligent , articulate , man , that could have just about any woman he met, honestly , just being himself, so this "CRAP", about sexual favors is bull--and the gun story is even worse--this man lived for hunting and fishing , with the little time off he ever had!!!I SAW MANY GUNS IN HIS CLINIC AND WE TALKED HUNTING , and fishing and weapons , no thug !!!GOT IT !!!He took a personal interest in every patient that was thrown away by fancy medical clinics, and greedy insurance companies , and found their source of the problems and got them to a better place!!!I believe he should have been voted AMERICAS BEST PAIN DOCTOR MANY TIMES OVER---This is as good as a human being as there is --He never took political sides either, so that is why no favors for him , as to ease his troubles , just think if he gave freely to the greedy , jerks that run for office , as the big insurance companies do, there would never have been an investigation, period!@!!!!!!!---don't worry Dr.Hendler you will always be the best to all your former patients , except the few that are looking to cash in for free , for something that never happened!!!!you are still the BEST!!!!!Dr.Reg. Davis feels that way also!!!!!!!--YOU KNOW I AM A STRAIGHT SHOOTER!!!!!!B.D --PLAINS,PA

As a patient of Dr. Hendler's I can say with 100% certainty that I would be dead if Dr. Nelson Hendler had not accepted me as a patient. I spent over two months at Mensana clinic from 2001 to 2003 and had 3 surgeries in Baltimore Hospitals with the help of Dr. Hendler. Without the expert medical care I received at the hands of Dr. Hendler I would not have survived. I traveled from Houston to Baltimore and paid my living expenses at Mensana Clinic out of my own pocket because the best doctors in Houston told me there was nothing wrong with me. Five surgeries later I am alive and live a decent life. I'm still in some pain, but it is managable. It was not managable before I arrived at Dr. Hendlers clinic.
During my stay's at the Mensana Clinic I never once saw or heard not even one durogatory comment from a patient about Dr. Hendler. What I did hear was hundreds of people just like me that owed their life to this man.
My guess is you are former patient or employee that was fired or released from his care because you were simply a drug addict that could not get what you wanted from him.
I would highly recommend Dr. Hendler as well as any web based products he sponsors that will help other physicians, patients and insurance companies determine if their situation could be improved. When you suffer from long term dibillitating constant pain no matter what it takes you deserve the best treatment available to help you through life. Without Dr. Hendler, I would not have a life. I truly owe my life to this man. I hope you find another outlet for your pain, rather than trying to destroy what is left of such a great man.

As any intelligent reader of the "Rip-Off Report" # 486654 can determine, the report was filed by a disgruntled former employee. This employee engaged in what we considered damaging behaviors to our company, and we have several emails from customers documenting this damaging behavior. As for the personal attacks on Nelson Hendler, MD, with referrences to accusation post on the Internet, the reader is referred to other postings and links to provide accurate information. Anyone can make an accusation. However, what the former employee neglected to report was the results of the sexual allegations: 1) The first case was so fabricated that the attorney dropped the plaintiff. 2) The second case was dismissed out of hand and a copy of the dismissal order is shown at www.JusticeAndTruth.org . 3) The third case was settled for a nuisance value of under $10,000. Dr. Hendler is the author of three books, 33 medical text book chapters, and 59 articles. He received his BA from Princeton University c*m laude in psychology, and also played varsity lacrosse. He received an MD and an MS in neurophysiology from University of Maryland, did a research fellowship in neurosurgery at Mayo Clinic, and did his residency in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was president of the Johns Hopkins Hospital House Staff Council, representing all residents, interns, and medical student. He was Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Univeristy School of Medicine for 32 years, and was Presdient of the Princeton Alumni Association of Maryland, The Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Association of America, and The American Academy of Pain Management. Comments about Dr. Hendler from his colleagues can be found at the following links: www.MensanaClinic.com/comments/physicians.pdf www.DiagnoseMyPain.com/testimonials.html www.dmsci.tripod.com/CL-3Hendler.html and comments from CNN can be found at www.Transcripts.CNN.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0309/27/smn.04.html Dr. Hendler did lose his medical license, because he was trying to help patients with chronic pain. He had a narcotics contract with his patients for whom he prescribed narcotics, and one of the conditions of the contract was to return unused narcotic medication before an new narcotic prescrition would be written. This was to prevent overuse of nacortics, or diversion of narcotics, i.e. selling the unused portion. Dr. Hendler asked the DEA what to do with the left over narcotics, and received no answer, so he kept the left over narcotics in his office, in the original bottle in which they were dispenses from the pharmacy, with the patients' name on the bottle, and the number of pills in the bottle marked on the bottle and in his chart. The bottles dated from 1995, 1996, etc al the way to 2006. He was charged with "possession of narcotics with the intent to distribute." The DEA said he should have flushed the narcotics down the toilet and put a note in his chart he had disposed of the narcotics. So, you determine if it is more credible: A) to have the actul left over narcotics in his office, in the original dispensed bottles with a proper count of pills matching his chart notes or B) As suggested by the DEA, having just a note in the chart saying he had disposed of the narcotics. Dr. Hendler received a sentence of 18 months probation before judgement, as the result of an Alford Plea, where he did not admit any guilt. However, legally, this is considered a guilty plea, and for this reason, the Medical Board revoked his license. So, you be the judge...was this fair treatment to a physician who was seeing patients 80 hours a week, seven days a week for 30 years, who wrote extensively, was nationally recogized by professional organizations, and his colleagues, and who dedicated his professional life to trying to help patients with chronic pain?
