Yes, fool me twice and Mike, you probably would not get the education that you thought you were entitled to.
You only get the education that you put effort into. It is clear from your lack of grammar and spelling skills that your comprehension would also lack. Kurt Heinrich was an instructor when I attended AMI in 1985. I had received a 5 month Program of Study. I DID work in the Industry for 16 years. I learned much as I put much effort into learning. At 24 years old I certainly could have paid better attention, not considered my stay in Daytona Beach a vacation and learned more.
I worked at that time to pay my rent and to eat. I also attended classes full time and I did have a 4 year old child. I had a wonderful experience, as I did treat it as my lifesgoal to become a licensed motorcycle mechanic. Goal accomplished. As a woman it was an even more difficult task at that time. 1980's was a much more chauvanistic time. I aslo know a girl from Canada who attended at the same time as I and she continued in the Industry also for many years.
You get out of anything in this life what you are willing to sacrifice, the time and energy that you are willing to spend.
I applaud you, bagbobnchop. Author of: Probably better off!
I atended Daytona State College 2011/2012, and had met several students attending Wyotech at that time. I have kept in touch with a few. A girl from Arkansas, did do well also. She obtained a position at ROAR after graduation and has since returned to Ark. A friend from Alaska has obtained work in Ocala and has been woring since March of 2012.. It is what you are willing to put into it.
Of course there are the stories of those who drop out. I had a friend from home , OHIO, who continued to drive drunk. He was in an accident, ijuring my friend, he recieved a slap on the wrist as this was his 5th DUI. He did stay in Daytona jail for 3 months and went home. Completely his fault. Another frined dropped out to care for HER 4 children and then made her husband drop out as she couldn't, due to jealousies allow him to get his education while she was at home with HER children. Not his. This made no sense.
If you need help financially, the local DPW office will give foodstamps to students, as the loans are not considered income. There is much affordable, adequate housing in Daytona. It isn't a vacation. Do not treat it as one. Your Genesis loans are more than enough to pay rent and electric. Most apartment complexes offer free cable, asThe Barrington Apartments at Vine and Derbyshire Rds.
You even have a Shuttle that takes you to school if you did not come to Daytona with a car or motorcycle. You have no excuse for your failure.

I also attened the Daytona campus @ that time managing to graduate would of been national technical honor society had one teacher not had a bad day and took 140 profesional points in 1 day (cussing at me until i told him to f off)
I did learn alot yet a few teachers need no be teaching the electrics teacher would rather chase me out side for smoking ( mind you im 44 years old) than help students that need sign offs inside the labs
so feeling that i needed more that i got from Daytona I enrolled in the Laramie campus for ASM (applied service managment and collision what a mess this school has been
We rented an apartment from an administrator (slum loard) with in 2 months they were trying to evict for me with holding rent while asking for code violations to be repaired infact with the strange Wyoming laws we were evicted with the rent current
no big deal we are happy to be out of that place
if your married you can not get into wyotech housing or they will seporate you and your spouse
backing up to the newest problem all my paper work was submited in june to come to school here it is november and i was called to the financial aid office friday and 2 times today my genesis loan was not submited and now denied for non payment
The finincial aid rep who was taking care of alot of students loans was fired for not doing his job so a new rep was submiting my paperwork told me my i could no longer attend school
after arguing about who was right we got genesus lending on the phone. they didnt know i was enrolled in the laramie campus because of the failier of the former rep
so after correcting the payment schedule I made my payment and was aloud to return to class wyotech was putting the blame for mismanagment on everyone except them selves while genesis lending told me and them it was absolutly there fault
now the classrooms are over loaded but they have 4 teachers for 80 students that dont sound bad except for any given day 2 teachers are out sick or on vacation not much baby sitting going on the classes are loud and the joking around by the students and teachers gets way out of hand alot of sexual and inappropriate descussions that make my wife uncomfortable at best
I will have over 100,000 invested in my education with my wife and with out playing the wyotech games im not sure i will get any job or recomendation from the school
the Daytona rep has not sent me 1 single job offer
yes that teacher was drunk and was finally fired the brightest spot was attending kurts class has to be the best teacher in all of the campuses (Daytona, Harley )

Funny how there are so few who have to complain. I've been here almost 6 months now and haven't had any problems, run a 4.0, perfect attendance, and don't feel like I've been lied to or screwed. I know a guy who complains about not having and money, is always getting food from the school, but just spent a few hundred dollars on a new tattoo, but had the nerve to complain when the school wouldn't give him food because he had spent his money on a tattoo. Well duh, that's what happens when you don't have your priorities straight. I've been around the world a few times and have my share of bills, I live cheap thanks to my bills but still happen to make it. I honestly wish the school would screen the potential students a little better and wuit letting any joe in off the street come in, would prevent a lot of the class time distractions that we have. Our class has gone from over 40 students to the mid 20's. Most of them I can say I'm glad they're gone. They tell you from the get go the rules, including attendance, you have a job, you miss work or show up late, you don't get paid, do it enough you get fired. Some of the equipment is out dated or has been studentized pretty bad, hey that's more of a challenge. While in electrics I got 4 bikes running on my own time that they never thought would run after they had been torn up so bad. I had almost no knowledge of motorcycles prior to coming here, now I'm almost ready to go to work. I've got 3 shops, one of them a major dealership waiting for me to graduate and get back home to put me to work.
Grow up, it's life, it isn't hard to follow a few simple rules and do what you have to do. Tired of listening to a bunch a kids complaining when this is the first time they've left mommy and daddy.
