I was contacted in May by Wyse Financial about a "bill" which a Mr Richard Landon said I still owed. This was a huge surprise to me as I had met my obligations in 2002, made 3 lump sum payments to Aarow Finance and paid the bill off. I have the original bank statements showing the words "Aarow Finance" and their withdrawals from my checking account on 3 occassions.

The only thing I never received from Aarow was a letter stating that the debt had been paid. A huge error on my part to not to ask for one.

This Richard Landon would not even listen to me about Aarow Finance. He screamed, he shouted, he menaced me, and he told me "I will get this money by any ways and means I can". I kept trying to tell this deranged person that I had paid the bill and I would send copies of my bank statements to him, proving that Aarow had taken the sums, however, I had a hip replacement the end of April and was not able to drive and was housebound. He threw a screaming fit, peppering it with threats and more harassment. I finally told him I would send $305.00 by the end of May, and I did. I figured I would pay up this $915.00 and then go to battle with Aarow and Wyse.

Three days after I sent the check I received a phonecall from Wyse. This was after I had written a letter to the manager and told him, point blank, about the tactics of R. Landon. And I also told him in the letter, never to call me again. I would honor the debt again, send the money owed but they were not to call me.

Well, they did.

I told this Mr Miller that I had also been busy, that I had contacted Denver Police Unit, BBB of Denver, Victims Assistance of Denver, COVA, Elder Fraud, Denver D.A., Victim Services 2000, and all was true -I contacted all these units. I also reminded Miller that I had said in my letter that every time they call me I am going to dial *57 and have their call sent to a trace station. And I will take measures to have the phones physically removed from his office.

At this point he became very whiney and I hung up on him. He had lied about the so-called paperwork being sent on May 23-I did not receive it until well into the following week. He refused to send me a receipt for my check, but that is ok-the cancelled check and my statement are my proof.

BBB of Denver contacted Wyse and I saw the reply Wyse sent them. They are furious to think I have accused them of extortion, threatening, menacing and possibly organized crime. Well, too bad. I have never been physically threatened in my 60 years and I am not going to back down now. If Wyse wants to send someone to break my kneecaps, well, then bring them on. I have already told several individuals if anything happens to me, please look intio Wyse Financial and Richard Landon.

I will pay this bill, but I have now managed to get the phone number for Aarow Finance so I can get a letter from them stating that this bill was paid in full in 2002. If anyone out there needs a letter of closure from Aarow, call 1-800 2746419. I am supposed to get this letter within 3-5 days. When I do, the first thing I am going to do is to make a copy and send it to Wyse. I want that $915.00 back.

I completely understand how you feel

I understand how you feel. I was contacted on May 4th, 2010 by Wyse Fianancial about a past due "loan" which a Mr. Mike Seaver said that I owed from sometime before 2008. That was all the information that he could tell me about it. I had no clue what the man was talking about and I informed him of that. He came across to me like he didn't believe which I understand because of the type of work that he is in and I therefore told him that I undersstand why he was at first frustrated a little. But as the conversation went on and I explained to him that I didn't know anything about a loan from Bank of America or anything like that, he flat out called me a liar. I also went on to tell him that I had to replace my bank card twice because it had been stolen and that as far as I knew, everything had been taken care of. He think went on to tell me that if I didn't pay, that he was going to take me to court and that it was going to go onto my credit report. I then informed Mr. Seaver that I would be looking into yet and that I wouldn't pay anything until I knew what it was about. He think raised his voice at me, telling me that I was going to pay it today or that he was going to have my wages garnished, which I think is very funny because I am a full time homemaker and I have not worked in over 3 years. Mr. Seaver also told me that he would be calling me EVERY day until I pay the "debt". I asked him not to raise his voice at me and he got even ruder. I didn't appreciate the way I was talked to and I certainly did NOT handle the fact of him threatening me very well. I didn't tell him to do whatever he was going to do and I hung up on him. I had not heard from him until this morning when Mr. Seaver called while I was out. My fiancee was the one who had taken the call and when he informed Mr. Seaver that I was not in at the time, Mr. Seaver then proceeded to become rude to my fiancee. I will NOT put up with this kind of person/company. I don't take threats lightly and I will not allow someone to try to make me feel powerless over this kind of situation. I have had to change my phone number just so I won't have to deal with it. If Wyse Financial somehow contacts me again, I will charge them with harassment.

dont send them money!

Do not send them a penny. Wyse is a company, similar to International Profit Associates or American Payment Supplies. They try and scare you into giving them money, you don't owe. Basically, the company makes up fake debt. Instead of sending you invoices, they send you nothing on paper, and start threatening you first. They threaten to sue and ruin your credit score, etc. and scare you into writing a check. The truth is, they are a scam, and the only reason they are still in business is because they operate in loopholes. Do NOT send them money, and contact the BBB instead.

I received the letters of closure from Arrow Finance after several weeks of phoning and emailing them. I finally enlisted the help of the BBB and Arrow moved very quickly in getting the letter out to me.In fact i received 2 letters and Arrow actually called me to make sure I had received them. I made copies of both letters plus the letter from Wyse Financial and mailed them off to Wyse along wiht a short note asking for my money to be returned as here were the letters of closure. That was on July 6 and I still have not heard one word. I sent off another letter on July 23 but I bet they will not reply. I tried to do the right thing and this is what i got-cheated! I have contacted the BBB,www.fraud.org ,the FTC,and, let me point this out,the Congresswoman from Wyse's District in Denver Co AND I put in a complaint to the FBI. I think that Wyse Financial is doing a little money laundering on the side ,plus fraud and extortion and now the FBI is well aware that Wyse Financial exists. I was told by RICHARD LANDON of WYSE that "the money you send us for this Citibank account will go into a private account just for this" Well, if this is not money laundering I'll eat my hat. Since now I have "overpaid" on that Citibank account,I am entitled to a full refund of the money I sent WYSE. That account was paid in full in 2002 and now I have the evidence to prove it. I want my refund !

ONE OTHER THING...... Send a copy of the letter via fax and mail to their attorney Irvin Borenstein Aurora, Colorado

Send a copy of the letter via fax and mail to their "attorney" (and thought to be one of the principals of these debt scavengers, Irvin Borenstein. Irvin Borenstein 3025 South Parker Road, Suite 711 Aurora, Colorado 80014 (Adams & Arapahoe Cos.) Telephone: 303-751-3025 Fax: 303-751-5600 I found that he was also one of the defendants in a civil case filed against Wyss some time back (you can do a Google search and there is the case on FindLaw, as this site does not really permit links). IF Wyss tries the "we're going to have our attorney file suit" thing, just know that Borenstein is ONLY licensed in Colorado. Good luck and let us know what happens.

DO NOT SEND THEM A PENNY!!!

Your first mistake was sending money to Arrow, as they are junk debt buyers and paying them only made you an easy mark. They sold your information to this other junk debt buyer, and if you pay them, the cycle will continue. Send these creatures a letter, insisting that they validate the "debt"...it is not your job to prove you paid Arrow or even the original creditor..it is the collection agency's job to prove that you owe it. Send them a letter such as the one below: Your address Date: Their address Re: (Their reference #) Please be advised that this debt was paid IN FULL via ____ and I have CONFIRMATION of this. This amount stated is incorrect.I will not pay fraudulent "late fees" and interest on an account that has been paid in full. In accordance with Section 809-Validating Debts of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I respectfully request that you provide to me, in writing, the following: 1. Explain and show me how you calculate what you say I owe. 2. Provide me with copies of any papers that show that I agreed to pay what you say I owe. I have disputed this debt (the second time I have disputed this with your "agency" with no response for my request for validation) therefore, until validated, you know your information concerning this debt is inaccurate. Thus, if you have already reported this debt to any credit reporting agency, then you must immediately inform them that this debt is in dispute. Reporting information that you know is inaccurate of failing to report as disputed violates the FCRA e1681s-2. If you do not own the rights to this debt, please send a copy of this dispute letter to the original creditor, so that they will have documentation that they will be aware that this remains in dispute. I do NOT deal with collection agencies or debt buyers, so if there is an issue, it will be resolved with the original creditor. Finally, in accordance with section 805 (c )Ceasing Collections, of the FDCA, please do not contact me regarding this, except by official mail and then only to inform me that your collection efforts are being terminated or that you are taking specific actions allowed by law. Your cooperation anticipated and appreciated. Very truly yours, What they are doing goes well beyond the scope of debt collection...that is called extortion. The laws (both criminal and civil) are on YOUR SIDE.
