Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Ok so I decided to try this company out when ordering hids for my vehicle. I ordered their "high quality" star series kit for my lowbeams. The shipping was fast so i was pleased. I opened the box and happiness faded quickly.

With any true high quality hid ballast the ballast is 1 made of metal and 2 has at least some sort of markings stating the amps and watts etc. The ballasts from xenonhids.com was nott metal but cheap plastic and had no markings except a made in china imprint on it. So i was already suspicious.

I ordered with my kit with the canceling boxes and relay. the canacelers were just as cheaply made as the baallasts. They proved that when 3 days later I was driving and heard a loud pop, and saw smoke coming from under my hood. I proceeded to pop my hood and check over things. The drivers side canceler had blow up. So bad infact the plastic box had blown apart.

Now I build computers for a living so Im not stupid when it comes to wiring things. I checked all my wires though just to make sure and they were as i figured all hooked up correctly.

Now onto the relay harness. This is where the real fun begins. The harness's plug that was supposed to fit my stock bulb harness was not even close. So I proceeded to call the number listed on their website. I pushed 2 for tech support and listened to terrible elevator style music for about 10 minutes only to be told that they were experiencing "large call volumes" and that I would need to open an online ticket. So I did.

In my 1st ticket I explained whatt was going on that the relay did not fit my stock harness. About 2 days later I recieved an email saying "I tried to call you, could you give me your phone number and "bets" time to reach you.

So i proceeded to provide my phone number wondering how he tried to call if he didnt have my number to begin with and told him Im available anytime before 2pm EST. So i wait and about 2 days later i emailed and told him I never recieved a call. He mails me back and says oh I thought you said 2pm PST.

So i tried calling the number again same thing as before music then told to open a ticket.

I open a new ticket, he messages me and tells me he will call so i go to work at 2. come home email him and he says are you available now? I told him yes for about 15 minutes.

I get home that night to find out he had actually called..... 2 hours after i told him i was available. Then I recieve one final email stating "I will try to explain how to install the relay. It needs to be hooked up with the h7 adapter that was included with the bulbs. In the meantime please call the number listed on the website"

There was no adapter included with the bulbs, period. And as for the phony number listed on their website i got curious and called it at about 3AM got the same music and waas told they are experiencing large call volumes.. At 3 in the morning? what a joke.

So I have since done a little research on the ballasts i was sent, they are the same ballasts you can buy off ebay for around 20 bucks. So basically what i believe this company is doing is buying cheap equipment from ebay at wholesale, then marking up the price and selling it as their own product. My advice is stay away from this shady company, their customer service is terrible to say the least and their products are far from "high quality" like they state.

Save your money and buy a good quality kit from a reputable dealer stay away from xenonhids.com they are a sham
