Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have the reciepts names and liscense plate numbers for both individuals. This happend at an apartment building located next to the Justice court building while visiting a friend downtown. I saw them when i parked and went inside i forgot my notebook in the car and when i came out they couldnt tow my car so they were going to boot it.

I didn't complain i knew something was fishy though (my husband was mad but just stayed away) I asked them well can i pay u the money now? he of course said yes and went to his car and got another form and i paid $80 cash I have kept all reciepts pictures and names of the individuals. I also have the liscense plate numbers of the red mercury that his friend drives and the expired tags of the tow truck.

Later that day i went to the address shown on the reciept there are 4 and none of them were located there. I asked neighboring businesses and called matt back (which the phone # is his cell phone) and asked where they were located he told me the SLC address i already went to and i told him no it is not there. I asked for the manager and he had another excuse and said he was on vacation.

He kept saying we do have and address but wouldnt tell me..I found out one address was another towing company (pictures), 2another was nothing, and another was a house i believe is where they live. When i asked their names they wouldnt tell me they said why? and i said just so i have it..they were hesitatant but i got them and just in case their car plates i waited til they came out an d followed them...(earlier on my way in the apt. they were telling a women ok i will meet u at 7 eleven for the money) they ended up going around the block and back at 7-11 then back to the lot...they only go on certain days like monday (early)

I saw a towing company there a month later and asked about xpeedia and he said oh they dont work anymore we took over the contract ( i didnt check the tags) ...I know alot of people got scammed. My neighbor is disabled and slow they took advantage of him (same guys and same cars)only they towed his car to some parking lot (not an xpeedia business and ended up charging him $200 to get his car back).

The mental facility looks at that and thinks oh he must be doing something wrong and you'd be surprised how quickly valley mental health and other places will lock them up for 8 or more months loosing everything they have. I was lucky i had $800 in my wallet otherwise my car would have been stolen. I paid the robber.

I have more detailed information..I took pictures and kept all the information reciepts etc. I doubt the police will help...they do nothing. Come on this is right next to a Court House! There is alot wrong with the state of utah.

#1 Xspeedia towing has had that contract since November of 2006 and currently has it. #2 there are 18" X 36" signs as you enter either entrance. and approximatly 8-10 other signs (8"X12") throughout the parking lot and two (2) more 18" X 36" signs where you would have been parked at Maam. #3 All the signs read you will be towed at owner expense. and RESIDENT PARKING only. on all of the signs. #4 the oldest truck registered to Xspeedia Towing is a 2004. #5 The car you are speaking about is not a mercury.. it is a Lumina and has been liscenced since we acquired it. #6 all taxes and registration fees on ALL of our tow trucks were paid and are current since we tow for most of the police departments in the salt lake area. It is impossible for our tags or insurrance to expire since they have been inspected by several police agencies. So if you are upset that we charged you $80 it could have been alot worse if you were towed. When parking in private parking lots you should READ the signs and respect the poeple who pay to park and live there.
