Xpress Loans Next StudentExpress LoansAES Fraudulently Consolidated my Student Loan Internet
I received student loans for my education, when I graduated unknown to me the school I went to lost their accredidation for 2 years I attended the school because noone was notified of the loss.
I was then contacted about paying back my loan, first it was AES that called and I asked for extra time, was told no, and I said I only have an extra 200 a month to work with but they refused what I offered to pay.
I called multiple times and one time I called they said my loan was paid off, I said "What, there is no way, I don't have 75K to pay the loan, who paid it" they said they do not have that information. How can you not have information on who paid you 75K to pay off a loan.
I then called every day for 6 months asking what was going on, noone would tell me how my loan was paid off, then out of nowhere I get a phone call from AES saying that I defaulted on my loan.
I said "what are you talking about I have been calling every day to find out what happened to my loan" I was told that I consolidated my loan and never paid it. I never consolidated my loan, I did not know what they were talking about.
I asked for proof, they sent me papers and when I reviewed them it was from a company I have never heard of, and the pin number they had on the papers did not match my Dept of Education pin number I was assigned, there were no signatures and I have no other paperword other than the papers they sent me.
This company called Xpress Loans/Next Student consolidated my loan without my consent, without my signature, without my knowledge. I called AES again and said this was fraud, they said you did it and you need to pay not only the 75K student loan but also the 25K default fee and interest, so the amount went up to 114K.
I said I can only pay 250 a month which was over the amount I had available but I started looking for a second job because the school I went to never found me the job they said they would when I graduated so I was working for 15 hour and my husband was out of work.
now I have a letter saying my wages will be garnished for over 500 a month I have two kids and now because of all this emotional distress for over 6 years by these people my son has decided going to college is not worth the pain.
Now i find out that Xpress Loans sold all their consolidated loans to AES, how convienent that AES said they had no idea who these people were but yet I find out they were working together the entire time.
I can't afford an attorney to sue them so all I have ever asked for is the 25K default fee be removed since they scammed me and fraudently consolidated my loan without my consent.
Now my original loan went from 75K to 134K which is 62K more than it was, I will never be able to pay this off, and now I have to have a hearing and figure out a way to feed my family and continue to be able to live a normal life.
