Your Savings Club.com - Credit Diagnosis.com Needed to total disclose what exactly I was signing up for! Ripoff Des Plaines Illinois
I went to freecreditreportinstantly.com website and signed up to be able to get my FICO score. I understood that I was "enrolling" in their monthly credit service by signing up and that I had 7 days to enjoy it for free however. Now, there was also supposed to be a dollar fee that was to be waived as well, and it stated to be sure to elect that you wanted this refunded. I saw nowhere in this process where it stated that this is where I "check off" or "mark" to be refunded. Also, I had a $1.15 taken out of my account immediately, as opposed to just the $1.00 as stated. It's fiftenn cents, but hey, it's the principal of the matter! Also, I did not know (until I got an e-mail about an hour later) that I was being enrolled in a marketing/savings club as well and that the membership fee would be coming off of my debit card account monthly along with my credit enrollment. This really pissed me off when it was all said and done. I called and cancelled my "membership" for yoursavingsclub.com immediately, and it was easy to do thankfully, now I have to make sure it stays cancelled.
As for the credit report service, I will be cancelling that promptly as well. Buyer beware. These companies are hoping you're not paying attention, you'll forgot you were enrolled and they get on your "payroll," if only for a short while, and that you'll just go along with the services anyway. I do recommend (((Redacted))). You still have to pay these credit reporting agencies money if you want an actual score, but just to see your accounts and update/dispute info is truly free, minus the sneaky enrollment crap. Good luck and keep your eyes open!
