Z Ducts INc. Played on fear of asbestos/presented huge inflated bid for unnecessary work. Internet
THis is really a report on situation we managed to avoid, thanks to another reputable firm followup, but was very grateful to find a scam report on your site of this same company, which made myself and my tenants less frightened about possible asbestos dangers. This company was called by tenant to do heater duct cleaning. They arrived, found some lining torn, reported to tenant that there was asbestos thruout, exposed, and that they would have to re-do the ducts for approximately $5600.
I contacted a company with whom who I had dealt previously. They were surprised at the estimate, agreed to come out and give me their thoughts. They subsequently referred me to an inspection company who will assess and remove necessary materials. Estimated cost - $300-to $500... Something just didn't feel right, and I am glad your site was here to confirm my suspicions about this Z Duct Inc. firm!

This report is very freighting to us at Z Ducts Inc. Our number one goal
is to leave every customer with 100% satisfaction. Customer service and loyalty
are our top priorities and we have a great track record with thousands of
customers. At Z Ducts Inc we try to educate our customers on the best way to
maximize air quality, efficiency and energy savings. By no means do we attempt
to scare customers into any services they do not need. Asbestos is a serious
mined mineral fiber that can cause many diseases and respiratory problems if present.
By law Z Ducts Inc cannot falsely
state that asbestos is present in a home.Your accusation is false and troubling
to us. The estimate you received from a different company could easily have
been for something completely different that did not correspond the full extent of the job Z Ducts was going to do.
Nor does this estimate take into account our experienced and licensed professionals,
our top of the line products and our lifetime warranties and yearly checkups. Z
Ducts Inc is a family owned company that strives to give its customers the best
quality products and service on the market. It is unfortunate for your
experience with Z Ducts Inc, but we do not think this report is justifiable. We would love for you to post the estimate you received, along with ours to show the extreme differences in services compared to cost.
