my husband was trying to clear up his credit report
he had a jewelry card at kay jewelers which went to collections
it was later purchased by zenith aquisitions
they contacted us with a settelement offer which we paid in full
they still have not removed it from his credit report
it has been over six monthes

Paying off the debt does not undo the fact that he defaulted on the loan. It will remain on his credit report for 7-10 years.
