I'm so sad to write this review because I always loved Beauty by Earth's products. I always bought them for my teenage girls because they're “all natural” and “safe” for my kids. But after my most recent experience, I'm no longer convinced that they are safe at all and I just had to warn others that their products are fraudulently advertised…And don't even get me started on their customer service issues!
I ordered a full size product from them and when I received it I immediately realized that it was a completely different product than what I ordered on their website. When I contacted them about my problem, they were not helpful at all and refused to refund me for the product or send me what I actually ordered.
Since I am a huge advocate for natural products, I accepted their decision and decided to let my daughter try it out. We opened the package and found that it was a brown and greenish paste. I put some on my face and it did not feel good at all. It felt heavy, like mud, on my skin. The smell was absolutely horrendous and the consistency was too thick. This was the worst self tanner we have ever used. It smelled like it had died and the color washed out after 1 shower.
The next day, my daughter woke up with hives all over her body and within a week of use, my skin broke out in hives, became irritated and inflamed.
It has never happened before, so this was utterly shocking to me. My dermatologist looked at the ingredients and said our reactions were due to the product. She told me that these ingredients are not safe to put onto our skin & recommended that I need to stay away from Beauty By Earth products even if they claim to be “organic and all natural”. I politely told customer service about the terrible allergic reaction we experienced, I asked if they could properly identify all of the product ingredients and they refused to respond to me.
I would suggest everyone to stay away from this company and their products for their own safety. They are not trustworthy and they don't care about their customers. I called them out on their questionable practices and they then threatened to charge my credit card or sue me! I am appalled by how deceitful Beauty By Earth has been. The company is not only fraudulent, but their products are also harmful, disgusting and can lead to severe health concerns. I would never recommend any of their products because they are pure poison.
I don't want to give a company who uses deceitful practices and harmful ingredients a single dollar of my money. I will never buy from this company again. I am outraged that I wasted my money on these products. Beauty by Earth is a fraudulent company and their products are disgusting, harmful, & disease causing. Stay away from these beauty frauds!

Beauty By Earth offers a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on all purchases made at Beautybyearth.com. We sadly cannot attest to other 3rd party platforms and do not always have a direct customer service representative for all external platforms. All customer service interactions with Beauty By Earth would have to be done through [email protected] in order to be working with us directly.
We would also never refuse a refund on a purchase made within the 30 day window or if the product seemed compromised or discolored. We also would never, and have never, threatened to charge a card or sue for negative feedback. We legally would not be able to and would never threaten it either.
Our tanners are over 80% organic and contain explicitly listed transparent ingredients and we are always happy to provide more information about the formulations. We would appreciate any information regarding this customer's order number, purchase date, contact information, or forwarded emails of this interaction so we can investigate and get this taken care of immediately.
