Chicago Craigslist Craigslist is problematic, screwy Chicago Illinois
Corrupt cops are creating narratives online. Thugs are out to ruin lives of people that post or answer housing Ads. Never use a real email or give your real name. Once you do you may become a suspect and harassed, stalked and threatened for years. The internet sadly has become a cesspool and opportunity for corrupt professionals including cops, detectives to get a bigger paycheck and build their resume by targeting and harassing citizens that are just trying to live life.
Tips:
Avoid people that claim to be homeless and offer to work for free to live with you.
Avoid answering Ads with pics of cute women and friendly people with kids needing a room or place.
Don't create or use craigslist to place a Ad. Unless you are selling something personal and legal in the classifieds.
Avoid answering Ads placed by a " female" . It's likely a man , scam or a
cop.

To summarize, you should only use Craigslist if you are not breaking the law and looking for prostitutes, or trying to take advantage of desperate people? Sounds like you speak from personal experience there. What'd you get busted for?
