David Pearson was hired to replace a pool liner on on my above ground pool. He advised me that he was going to be replacing parts such as old screws etc.  Onlt to find nothing was replaced. Liner is wrinkled he did a horrible job nothing but lies through the whole job .  He came to my home to do an estimate with his girlfriend.  He looked at the location and the pool and told me that he would be able to replace the liner and any broken or older parts, such as screws or strips that held the liner in place.  The day of the job he showed up alone. He asked borrow a hose seems like he did not have the right equipment to do this job.

The liner we had chosen was not available per him so we had to settle on something else. He comes across very polite and very nice claiming he does excellent work however he is a charmer be very careful. He is full of lies. I am not sure how he got onto the Angie list website to see that I was looking for work on my pool however, Angie did not recommend him.  To finish my husband, and I had to spend a full day on Saturday, redoing all the railings which He did not do correctly and basically did not replace any parts which he had promised

That sounded like you need a new engine, big time . That's not the timing chain, that sounds like the bottom end or at least something fairly major. These guys obviously misdiagnosed it, but you also should not have been driving it with the engine sounding like this. So I'd say they owe you a refund for at least the labor portion of the work, but they don't owe you a new engine or anything like that. The car is pretty much ready for the junkyard, unfortunately. It is rarely cost effective to do major repairs on an older vehicle. I would suggest looking into small claims court.
