Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My interaction with this company took place over the course of a week.  I never started my first day.  Here's my story...

Found the job on indeed from the company "Street Link Services"  for temporary employment $19 to $21 with the hope of becoming a permanent position also needing reliable transportation. The position was a donut brand ambassador.  The parameters and scope of the job seem to change from the initial job post to what they describe to me after accepting the job. They wanted me to be a mystery shopper and not a brand ambassador.

Initially I interviewed with Cameron (some sort of manager) and with Lindsay (executive president of "Street Link Services").  Both interviews were awkward.  Very informal type questions which didn't focus on my professionalism but made me use my imagination to fix problems I had no idea about.

There was supposed to be virtual training that never happened. They offered me the job quickly with no contract just over the phone. They claimed it was a W-2 position but had me working as a 1099. They wanted me to work before I even gave him my direct deposit information.  They never asked for any identification.

Cameron texted me on a Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. which I thought was unprofessional. And then on Sunday he emails me at 9:00 p.m. saying I have to start the job an hour away. He gave me a route with over 200 mi on it.  Keep in mind this is using my personal vehicle and my gas.

I didn't end up making the route because they wouldn't confirm the specific amount on mileage reimbursement. Also I was only given a $19 an hour wage for temporary employment with the hope to become permanent. There was no clear guidelines on how to become permanent employee because all the job was taking pictures of donuts and cases.

It seemed like they were forcing me to make quick decisions so I would waste my time and energy collecting data about donuts.

I informed Cameron I would not work until I knew how much I would be reimbursed per mile. They immediately terminated me.  Stay away from that hot mess for company...
