Recently purchased a 2015 VW Beetle that arrived almost three weeks after the purchase and was suppose to have all recalls performed however the only recall needed remains open and not done and the vehicle leaks oil all over the driveway and can't be driven because it has no plates and no temporary tag required to drive the vehicle. The salesperson has ignored all requests to address any of these issues after many texts and emails to the salesperson, Eddie. I've requested several times the contact info for the owner and Eddie ignores this request as well.

As a follow-up to the statement above, I have now completed the repairs needed to make this 2015 VW Beetle road worthy and so it could be state inspected here in Texas as required.

I will attach paid invoices in the amount of almost $750.  After the state inspection if was determined the vehicle has extensive front end damage that when repaired was put back together with no passenger side turn signal connector or bulb and need wired in and it was also missing the entire wiper system including bottle, pump hoses and connector which required the front bumper removal to install.  Both of these items are requirements to pass the State of Texas inspections.

This was after spending $136 to repair a major oil leak that was spilling oil all over my driveway when delivered from the Dealers location.

It appears that this was the reason the Dealer avoided putting a Temp. License Plate on the vehicle because they obviously didn’t want me to be able to get the car to an inspection station upon delivery.

I have not heard from the salesperson, “Eddie” since I purchased the vehicle and I suspect I never will.

Had these issues been fully disclosed by the salesperson, I wouldn’t have bought this vehicle as he assured me at the time of purchase that this vehicle was ready to go and needed absolutely NOTHING!

He even promised to take to his local VW Dealership to have all recalls completed so I wouldn’t need to do anything upon delivery.

He in fact took it to the Dealership who didn’t perform any recalls because they didn’t have parts available even though “Eddie” told me the recalls were in fact completed.

My advise is to stay away from this Dealer because they Mis represent the vehicles as evidenced in my situation and once they have your money you will get what you get AS-IS and never hear from them again.

They obviously don’t believe in repeat business!!!

If you just can't stand it when somebody says something you don't like, then DO NOT POST ON A PUBLIC SITE!!! Oh, so now the predictable response is "I trusted him"! Let me share you a secret of COMMON SENSE: You can ONLY trust someone whom you know and has a track record with you as being trustworthy! I don't care how many pictures, emails or phone calls there were. YOU never checked out this USED CAR! One would think, with the incredible low level of trust the used car sector of retail has, one would have at least a minimal amount of COMMON SENSE to under no circumstances ever, ever, ever buy ANY used car sight unseen. Was this guy dishonest? Of course he was but YOU enabled him to SCAM YOU by YOU going thru with this cockamamie deal! You NEVER saw the car. You NEVER test drove the car. You NEVER heard the engine running. You NEVER felt the transmission shifting. You NEVER checked each and every accessory for proper operation. You NEVER checked for body damage. You NEVER checked for paint defects or body and fit. This is the smart way to buy a used car which you hope would give you several years of reliable operation? On top of all this, you give your money to somebody YOU DON'T KNOW for a used car YOU'VE NEVER SEEN and agree to an "AS IS" purchase! You can call me every name in the book. Maybe this will spur you to getting some COMMON SENSE for the next purchase because you certainly didn't use any with this one. I REST MY CASE!

I posted this report as a warning to others so no other innocent person becomes a Victim.

I didn't file this report seeking sympathy from people like you who have never made any mistakes or errors in their entire life.

You have a very uninformed opinion because you have no clue as to all the emails and communications that went back and forth between the seller and myself regarding the condition of the vehicle nor the assurances that were made to falsely induce this sale so blaming me as the Victim I hope makes you feel like a better person.

Please keep your opinion to yourself if you don't know how, when or how things occured.

Thanks to All for Pointing Out How Stupid I was for Trusting a Dishonest Seller

I want to thank All those that have taken their valuable time to fault me for me the victim of a scam sale.

The point of filing this report was to try and warn others so they didn't fall victim and I am so thankful that some people find it more appropriate to blame me as the victim for falling for a salemans lies and trusting them which ended up costing me in the end.

I fully realize that I fell for the lies that occured and I was guilty of not using my best judgement so I really don't need others telling me of my own faults.

For those that want to heed my warnings and stay away from this peticular Dealer then I hope my warning helps those people.

For those that blame me for what happened to me, Good luck to you as I am sure those people have perfect lives and have never been taken advantage of since they are so wise in their judgments apparently.

All Used Car Salesmen Are Trustworthy

You should have discovered the major oil leak, wiper and turn signal issues during the prepurchase inspection.

This may be the first time a used car salesman has lied to a customer.

Any paperwork you would have signed would have told you it was an AS IS putchase or a warranty was included. You didn't even bother to READ what you were agreeing to BEFORE you agreed to it. Smart, real smart. But then again, you bought this USED CAR sight unseen and now you wonder why it's a piece of junk! You send off your money to somebody you don't know to buy some used car YOU'VE NEVER SEEN OR CHECKED OUT! Just how STUPID is this??? I would suggest you commit yourself to some type of mental facility since you quite apparently do not have the level of intelligence to safely live in this society.
