 Earlier this year Feb or March I was met by a salesman from Hanson Roofing. This gentleman showed me what they could do and the price would be $20,450.00 and said the job would start within a month.. During the next two months, the job kept getting put off and or rescheduled, I told them to cancel the contract,3 days after the contract was signed, as I did not want it done. Over the next couple of months, they kept calling and leaving messages "Your roof is scheduled to start ....! On different dates, each time I told them to cancel the job and they just rescheduled the project. On the day they were supposed to start they called a weather day, it was a nice cool day. They started the next day when I had an important appointment. When I got home at about 7 or 8 pm they had striped my old roof and had bare wood showing. None of the workers spoke good English and there was no communication available even when I asked them to stop. I also told them they had to stop work it was going on 9:30 or 10 PM that night and the next. This was the start of my nightmare. Hanson took a loan out with one of the credit card companies I use I had no control of this card as it showed Hanson's name and was Synchrony for $30,000 This card eventually drop to $20,750.00 With another card I think it was from CITI for around $3,000. The CITI card I got canceled as I did not apply for it. After the roof was finished I started calling Hansons to get someone to repair some errors on the roof. Over the next 2 months, 2 of their contractors came out to look at the roof and agreed it needed to be repaired. Shortly after that I was put on "DO NOT SERVICE" and they will not come to repair the problems, The worst of which is a water leak close to my main electrical box. They claim I am the reason they can not get their money and I need to release the loan on a Credit Card at 29% when I was told they would get a loan for me under 10%. They have tried to bully me into paying them stating once I sign the completion of the contract they can put me on the schedule for repair.. I put on the completion of the contract "I can not sign this as there are problems with your work" I have called Hanson 2 or 3 times since June with no return calls.
