Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I had to leave work for a very serious illness and decided I was ready to try and return.  I contacted Jody Ellis of Arc Broward in Sunrise Florida to join the Ticket To Work Program.  I explained to Jody I already had a job, did not need help with job skills, and was specifically joining The Ticket To Work Program so I could have a Trial Work Period without a Social Security Diasbility Medical Review.

Jody Ellis took all my information on the phone, and completed the IWP and Consent For Information form.  I met with her in person 10 days later to sign the forms and give her my social security number.  She took all the copies of the signed forms and was supposed to submit them to Social Security the following day.

Eleven days later I realized she still had not sent me copies of my signed forms and I emailed her asking for them.  She ignored my email and did not respond.  Five more days pass and I emailed her again asking for my signed paperwork.

She finally responded by email 17 days after I had given her the signed paperwork.  She apologized via email and stated she "got a bit behind on her work and was working on an acredidation and planning a graduation." She told me she never submitted my paperwork for The Ticket To Work Program.  I asked her why, and she lied and claimed I never signed the IWP form.  This is ridiculous and a bold face lie as the reasson I met her in person was specifically to sign the Ticket To Work paperwork.

I contacted the VP of Arc Broward Julie Price and explained the situation.  Julies first reply via email to me was "I know Jody has been inundated with several time sensitive, high priority assignments which have been very time consuming for her."  I tried to resolve the issue with Julie Price, but she was not cooperative and refused to admit her employee was neglectful in failing to file my Ticket To Work.

Both Jody Ellis and Julie Price admitted via email that Jody was overburndened with work.  It is very obvious that she did not make my paperwork a priority, and failed to contact me after collecting my paperwork and failed to file it with Social Security.

4 days after Jody Ellis finally returned my messages I received a Medical Review long form from Social Security.  The rules of the Ticket to Work Program are they do not conduct Medical Reviews when a recipient is in The Ticket Program.  Jodys lack of professionalism, lack of folow through, lack of responding to my emails and failure to submit my paperwork to Social Security has caused me to have a Medical Review, and I am now at risk of losing all my benefits and healthcare.

I do NOT recommend this Employment Network, and I would not recommend ARC Broward or Jody Ellis for any of your needs.  I have never experienced such a true lack of professionalism, empathy, and accountability in my life as I have from this team who is supposed to be in the business of helping people.

I would advise you to run like hell from this business and employee, as they have proven to me they do not help, they create problems that were never there before having met them.  I have reported them to Social Security and will continue to report them to Disability Rights groups so they are held accountable for the wrong doing I incurred from them.
