Found a online ad leading my husband and me to a website at http://cuteodysey.org for adopting a rescued dog. We contacted Maria Brunetto from the site email who said she had a purebred shitzu but required sending $300 to her before she would meet us and said that it was for her re-homing fee to spay/neuter and shots so we followed Maria's instructions via email to send the money to her PayPal address at [email protected] but she never sent us back any documentation or proof of shots and we never heard from her again.
After many repeated attemps at trying to reach her we did a little research to find her location near San Diego and found she had dogs in a horrible condition in the back at her address at 13989 Lyons Valley Rd, Jamul, CA 91935 but we could never find her there. Had some guy living in a trailer in the back and the dogs were filthy and living in their own feces out back. Looked up her fake non-profit EIN number with the IRS and found she had not reported since 2017 but obviously she is still putting up ads and running a con to get people to send money via paypal. Went back and the place was empty and someone staying on the property said she skipped town. Someone needs to shut her down!
