McAfee promotes a Military discount (https://militarymoneymanual.com/mcafee-military-discount-60-off/) featuring a 2 year subscription for only $39.99. As a qualified veteran, I tried to purchase this product but the check-out page states I will receive a 1 year subscription for $39.99.

(1) would offer only a 50% discount for 1 year

(2) refused to honor the advertised military discount

(3) refused to let me speak with his supervisor and

(4) said the 2 year subscription was not effective.

Does McAfee have any integrity? Will McAfee honor what they advertise? Or, does McAfee have disdain for the military and veterans?

This has NOTHING with you being a Veteran or a company not honoring an advertised discount.

For one this "advertisement" isn't posted by the company, it is posted by a 3rd party Web Site that you have no idea where they got the information from, and nothing you posted here shows that McAfee authorized the "advertisement".  It is very likely that the site posted incorrect(or perhaps outdated) information.

It is not reasonable for a company to be expected to honor offers a 3rd party site advertises.

If you say that McAfee should honor the price even if it isn't on their site. What if the Site you got the link from(or some other site) said you could get 5 years protection for $39.99? Should McAfee be required to honor it? What if a 3rd party site said you could go to your local Fast  Food Restaurant and get a free meal every Monday? Should that Fast Food restaurant be required to honor something that a company unrelated to them posts?

But let's take it on a personal level. What if some site says that "William" from Seattle will send you $100 if you send him a letter stating how old you are. Should you then be required to send each person a $100? I am sure your answer would be of course not, and just because you are talking about  a company doesn't mean that they are any more responsible for what advertisements are posted on 3rd party sites.

Oh and no I do not now or have I ever worked for this company. In fact I don't even use their product and doubt I would even if could get 2 years for $39.99.
