I debated whether I should warn people because he is a part of the lgbt community however I firmly believe that he is mostly grifting off of the backs of lgbt people with his organization and I will tell you why.

1. He keeps moving from place to place and his organization has no physical mailing address or proof that a 501c3 has even been filed. There is also no result when searching black and gay as an LLC or as a non profit on any of the state databases.

2. He is homeless and often couch surfs. He has no actual permanent residence and moves around often both nationally and internationally. My theory is that it's easier to get away with wrong doing when you keep moving around. He burns bridges when people discover the truth.

3. Many have given to his go fund me for the supposed purpose of an eco village for which he has only provided photos. There is no indication that there is an agreement between his organization (which is not an approved 501c3) and the owner of the property. There is also no contact information or profile links for the other organizers of his black and gay eco village campaign and the other organizers of his campaign also keeps changing. He's meeting well meaning people who want to support lgbtq causes and using them to give legitimacy to his grift.

4. He has indicated to followers on different platforms that he spends $4000 a month on this project however it is highly unlikely with that type of income that he would need to couch surf or that he would not by now have enough for a down payment on the property. He is not employed so where he would get $4000 a month to spend on this project is questionable.

5. He seeks out lgbt organizations to interview him in order to legitimize himself and his organization but offers nothing tangible to anyone. There was a talent show hosted by his organization black and gay with a $1000 prize and the winner was never publicly announced on the website or the Instagram page. It was unclear if any prize was awarded. Some paid a fee for entry.

6. There is no information regarding board members of black and gay. It also is no longer operating in the state in which it was registered (Louisiana). This makes it unclear as to whether or not there is a system of checks and balances, particularly as it pertains to finances.

7. Michael Dorean Myers is in my opinion a clever grifter. He is well spoken, attractive, intelligent and very likeable but he eventually falls out with everyone when they discover his true intentions. That is why there is no consistency with his organization. I say this without any fear of being sued because I have receipts that I will not publish so that I can protect my identity. He is the worst type of grifter because he uses those in his own community for personal financial gain by giving the impression that he is creating something special for lgbt people.

8. Michael Dorean Myers of Blackandgay.com can easily refute any of these allegations by providing records of where the money goes and what money came in. The IRS may want to have a talk with him if he's been collecting money under the auspices of building a village for lgbt people through his supposed non-profit.

9. This was not an easy decision but there are so many legitimate organizations and I don't want people waisting their money. You will notice that he will post things on Instagram that certainly make all of this seem legit but it's not.

10. Look at the payments he can accept. There are certain platforms (I.e. paypal) that will swiftly get rid of questionable people. Most reputable people or entities can take donations a variety of ways. Does this organization even have a bank account? Keep supporting lgbt and bipoc but find a reputable organization

First, as far as the legitimacy of our organization, you can see the list of our board members and contact information on our website under the "About” tab. We are fiscally sponsored by IVCDO, a local non-profit organization in Southern Oregon. There are portions of our organization that are for-profit, ie. merchandise, that is handled by the LLC.

Our EIN Number is 86-2496969. The physical address is 29220 Old Hwy 199, Cave Junction, OR 97523. The mailing address is PO BOX 1263, Cave Junction, OR 97523. Secondly, as far as my personal living arrangements, I’m currently residing on the land that we intend to purchase for the eco-village in Southern Oregon.

I am available for voice/video calls at anytime - including a chat with the current land owners. We have done several live videos with the current land owners that can be seen on our Instagram. @blackandgay1 We will be hosting our first in-person gathering here this June 19-35.

Details for which can be found in our virtual community center, The Virtual Junction. This person writing this report has not taken into consideration the amount of money, time, and effort it took to build an organization, a website, and a virtual community center platform from the ground up.

They obviously have no clue what it takes to operate and maintain a business. My final thought: I cannot save people who do not want to be saved. Everyone has to take responsibility for their actions.
