Obtained quotation from business manager for body work repairs to my car. Also obtained quotation from other body shops. This quotation came in lowest using after market parts, which the other body shops also quoted on.
When picking up the repaired car I was told a new price of $171.24 more than the original quote. The excuse was that there were no after market parts available. My car is a Hyundai Santa Fe, one of the most common cars on the road today. There is definitely plenty of after market parts available.
I have no way of knowing where the parts came from so have no retaliation but regardless, the original quotation should have been adhered to or at least I should have been informed of the complication prior to dropping off the car since the body panel was recieved and painted prior to dropping the car off.
I'm not satisfied with the customer service and the way this was handled and would like to be reimbursed with the price and quotation difference of $171.24
