EDITOR’S COMMENT(2/1/2021):  Ripoff Report strongly believes in the First Amendment, especially when consumers are truthfully warning other consumers about potential frauds, scams, rip-offs or the like by shady individuals or businesses.  Ripoff Report is by consumers, for consumers…and we want to keep it that way!  Unfortunately this Report was posted and, upon additional information, appears to have been primarily for the purpose of bullying or harassment.  In many instances Ripoff Report will reach out to the author of the Report to obtain further information.  In other instances, enough information is provided to Ripoff Report to warrant redactions without reaching out to the author.  Ripoff Report is working to combat tactics that are perceived to be cyberharassment, cyberstalking, cyberbullying and/or what is generally considered a “revenge post” as we do not condone such behavior.

NOW TO THE EDITORIALLY REDACTED POSTING(S):

(((REDACTED))) sold me a power kite and he never delivered it.

I met (((REDACTED))) in my apartment building Aqua Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. Being an expert in kitesurfing, after insisting for a long time, he convinced me to try this type of sport, promising me that it would have been responsible for the provision of the kite and the rest of the necessary material.

He said that the equipment had a cost of $957 and so I gave him the amount of money and I left him my phone number to contact me when the equipment would have arrived. After a week, I decided to contact (((REDACTED))) to get news about the kite, but he never answered.

In the following days I made another attempts but the line is always busy. After three more days, I finally met him outside the apartment building and to my request for explanations he began to threaten me saying that he knew powerful people and that therefore I had better not report him because he would have put me through some bad trouble.

Needless to say I never saw my money and that I never tried kitesurfing. So from experience, I highly recommend staying as far away from that person!

Conocí a (((CENSURADO))) en mi edificio de apartamentos Aqua Flamingos en Nuevo Vallarta, México. Siendo un experto en kitesurf, después de insistir durante mucho tiempo, me convenció para probar este tipo de deporte, prometiéndome que él se habría encargado de la provisión de la cometa y el resto del equipo necesario. Dijo que el equipo costaba $ 957 y por eso le di la cantidad de dinero y le dejé mi número de teléfono para que me contactara cuando llegara el equipo. Después de una semana, decidí contactar a (((ELIMINADO))) para recibir noticias sobre la cometa, pero nunca respondió. En los días siguientes hice otros intentos, pero la línea siempre estuvo ocupada. Después de tres días más, finalmente lo encontré fuera de la cuadra y a mi pedido de explicaciones comenzó a amenazarme diciendo que conocía a gente poderosa y que por lo tanto era mejor que no denunciara porque me habría metido en algunos problemas. No hace falta decir que nunca vi mi dinero y nunca probé el kitesurf. Entonces, por experiencia, recomiendo permanecer lo más lejos posible de esa persona.
