eleperformance My department was split into two teams a few months ago. My team leader has spent zero time on development of any of their team members. 1:1 meeting are few and far between. Even when there has been one it is basically asking if we need anything and goodbye. There is no attempt to make contact and there is zero action on anything needed. We don't even have team meetings to make sure we are on the same page.

The sad part of this is that this team leader was promoted from among our group. The other team leader seems to (ahem) "wear the pants in the family". They basically tell my team leader what to do and how to do it and my team leader just lets it happen. The other team leader takes every action possible to keep my team from getting recognition for achievements and even reaches out to anyone that you are scheduled to interview with for another position to keep you from escaping their abuse. If you go to HR (which is supposed to be confidential) or report their actions to their boss, you will be "blacklisted" and targeted by them.
