I had contacted Tucson Transmission and Auto Repair to have my clutch inspected, as it was having issues. They stated that the slave clutch was not operating properly and they would need to replace it. I was also told that once they started working on it, they would have it done by the upcoming Tuesday.
When Tuesday came, the shop told me that their technician didn't come in, but that the clutch was having issues and they would need to replace the whole assembly. I told them that I needed my car to get to work and was told that they couldn't help me and it wasn't their responsibility to get me to work.
When I said that they gave me a time that the car would be ready and they didn't get it done, the person on the phone began yelling at me, swearing at me, and told me that I had better come get my car before "something worse happened to it."
I did go to get my car and was told that I would have to pay for the work that had already been done. I asked what work they had done, given that they hadn't repaired the car to begin with. They said that they had "attempted to fix the car, but weren't able to," so the work they put in would cost more.
This company is the stereotypical mechanic's shop that strings customers along, charges them more money than they're quoted, adds up additional charges to get more money, and then threatens customers when they don't get what they want.

The individual who yelled at me is Mike. He's the one who apparently believes it's acceptable to treat customers without any customer service in mind. This is him:
