Underrated Muscle LLC are a business that claim to provide individualized training, nutrition, and supplemental services to athletes.
Business owner David Hintz, calls you and explains all the wonderful things he's going to do for you. How her personalizes every plan and tailors it to each individual.
David Hintz then sends a payment request from his PayPal account where he then sends a text saying "paperwork and payment request sent. Please pay family/ friends as it saves me like $75 in service fees. thank you"
To my dismay the "friends and family" payment option offers NO RECOURSE if the business does not deliver the services they promise.
I didn't realize that it is ILLEGAL for businesses to REQUEST payment via friends/ family option. I also didn't realize that if this business didn't provide the services they claimed that I woulud have no way to recoup at least most of my money back.
I was sent a basic training plan provided to all the athletes (not customized as in the contract I signed) and a basic nutrition absolutely NOT tailored to me. I had informed this David Hintz that I have severe allergies to certain products and he explicitly put it in my program as well as sent a text to just use the product that he's affiliated with - for the kick backs that he gets.
I was told to perform a detox where David Hintz then said to take OTC medicine Zzzquil nightly. At this point, I no longer wish to work with someone who is making these kinds of decisions with my health and wellbeing. I sent a letter immediately wishing to terminate coaching services and to be reimbursed. I asked for reimbursement sans whatever fees he may need to make for the 10 days he copied/ pasted and emailed the bogus plans.
I was completely ghosted by Underrated Muscle LLC, Dave Hintz and Jeffrey Hintz. I've sent several emails and a certified letter to their home on the address requested in their contract and they refuse to acknolwedge me.
I cannot go through PayPal to report the payment as it is "friends and family".
THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM. They know that they'll keep your money and ALL those who pay have NO RECOURSE! We all LOSE our money! They tell you EXPLICITLY to use the "friends/ family" to pay them.
These programs are not cheap, it cost me $2000 for purchasing this coaching program and all the services they promised were NOT PROVIDED.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM UNDERRATED MUSCLE! And NEVER PAY A BUSINESS WITH 'FRIENDS/ FAMILY'
