February 25th 2009 Called to order chinks and see how long they would take to make, spoke with Gwen, owner. She told me they would be completed in 3 weeks, she took my physical address and full payment and said they would be shipped direct to my home.

March 18th I called & spoke to Gwen to get an update on if they shipped and told her how excited I was to see & get them. She said they were not done and it would be 1 week to complete, I should have them in a week & .

April 2nd I called again & spoke to Gwen, she did not have a reason why they are so delayed, she just asked me when I needed them, I told her I needed them as I had a shoot coming up. She said they would ship Thursday April 9th. I gave her my email address so she could send me the tracking number on Thursday.

April 14th I called to get a tracking number because I had not received an email or call. Spoke with Shannon as she said Gwen was not in. She told me they would ship soon, I asked how soon and how much was left to do on them. She told me there was about 12 hours of work left on them and Kelly was working on them and Gwen would come in late in the evening to work on them as well.

April 20th Called again and spoke with Shannon. She said they were still not complete so I told her I wanted my money back as I paid in full ($399.99) the day of the order (2/25). She said she was sorry I felt that way and would have Gwen call me 1st thing in the morning.

April 21st - No call back. I called at 12:30 pm and Gwen answered. She made no effort to explain this poor customer service or offer anything to make this right for me. She told me they would ship tomorrow (4/22) and she would call me with the tracking number.

April 22nd No call back. I called at 4:30 pm and got the answering machine. I left a message saying once again, I was not called, please call me and left my number again.

April 23rd 8:30 am. Shannon called me & said she was on her way to the Spokane airport with my chinks because parcel service did not pick up until 3:30 pm. She told me she wouldn't have a tracking number until she got back in the afternoon and would call & let me know.

April 24th 9:20 am. Called to get a tracking number because nobody has called me or emailed with that information again. No answer but voice message says they are open Monday thru Friday.

April 27th 10:00 am. Called again and got an answering service who said the office is closed this week but she transferred me to Shannon. I asked Shannon for a tracking number and she said she would have to get back to me but she did drop them off but was not sure if it was UPS or USPS (big difference here!) but the delivery date was to be Wednesday (29th). I gave her my number again and she said she would call me with the tracking information but she wasn't actually sure if she had an actual tracking number.

(I find it very odd & unprofessional to not be able to track a shipment for a customer who has paid $400 for an item that is a month overdue!)

April 28th No call back with the tracking number, still waiting.

April 29th Still no call from anyone with a tracking number and still no chinks. Complaint filed with BBB.

April 30th I called 1880 at 8:20 this morning but just got answering machine. Still no chinks. Called 2 times this afternoon and now phone just rings, no machine or answering service.

I came across this complaint in search on the internet and was totally surprised.
I felt I  just had to share my past 3 yrs of experience and history of purchases with 1880 Western Wear, and the employees of this company. 
 My husband and I belong to a large riding group. Over the last 4 years we personally and our group members have used 1880 Western Wear, as a custom design shop to make our groups numerous orders for chaps, jackets, and vests.
I shared this reports with our fellow team members last week in a monthly meeting, They were as shocked as I was to see this complaint and statement. 
All of us agreed the gals at 1880 Western Wear, have been very helpful over the years in the purchase of our products, friendly timely, and very high quality of leather goods and workmanship.
I guess you can't make everyone happy. But they sure have won us over and we will continue to purchase our goods from them and not hesitate to recommend them to others.
