I agree with this customer that this reproduction is not very good and certainly not museum quality.
The face of the girl is well made (although not lit as per the original painting, perhaps that was the intention), but there is so much that is wrong with it - the glasses and tableware, the newspaper, the foreground chair with top hat too soft and the background face too sharp, the people in the distance way too sharp, the hue of the winter not white enough the letters on the window too crisp, I could go on...
I would not put this on my walls either, but for $289, not sure how much more you could expect. It's almost there, if they put their best artist on the case it could be remedied, you may have to pay another $289, but it would be worth it.

This person is liar, this was probably posted by another company who is trying to damage our reputation. We offer a 100% money back guarantee so you can buy from us with
confidence. The only reason other companies are trying to damage our reputation is that they cannot match the quality of our paintings, our customer service and price.
We're uploading to this post an image of the original painting and the reproduction that we created for this "fake customer" so you can judge the quality for yourselves. The customer ordered a classical painting and requested that we change the face of the lady sitting on the right. You can see yourself that not only that the painting is of high quality but that the task of inserting the woman's face into the painting was executed beautifully by our artist. For this very complicated HANDMADE painting the customer paid only $289. This is a ridiculously low price to pay for a 100% handmade painting of such complexity, with the custom changes.
This "customer" did not even receive his painting, he was sent an image of the painting by email, refused to accept it, and received a full refund. It's either another company or
someone with serious issues. The quality of the painting was very high, it was painted by the same artists that paint all the paintings that we display on our testimonials page:
http://www.1st-art-gallery.com/testimonials.html
How could he be disappointing if he even did not receive the painting? He only received an image of it by email and could not have seen the real quality of the painting in person. If these are not lies - then by all means this person should update this post with proof of delivery or a tracking number, pictures of the package, etc.
We have on our website 1000s of testimonials, here is one from Chris Koster, the Attorney General of Missouri:
"George Caleb Bingham is one of the State of Missouri's most well-known artists. He takes on additional significance because of the role he played in state government, serving as Treasurer of our state during the middle 19th century. This conference room within the Attorney General's office is dedicated to his work. 1st-Art-Gallery's reproduction of his paintings are impressive and
extraordinarily well done. Your work is greatly appreciated."
Many companies fake testimonials but if we would fake such a testimonial from an Attorney General, we would have been sued. So you can trust it's authenticity. Here are over 30 VIDEO testimonials from around the world:

These cannot be faked either. If you have any question about our service and paintings please contact us.
